I love Abingdon. I use to go there shopping with my mom every few months. Now that she is gone I still go but not as often. I was surprised and saddened when I went back after the pandemic to see they had torn down the old tobacco warehouse. I loved going in there and looking at all the antiques and oddities.
Great and beautiful town love it another great video Shane and Melody always look forward to y'all's videos great job my friends thanks for sharing 👍👍👍🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🌲🌲🌲🌲
Everyone I know that was uprooted for the northern jobs is - keeping a sharp eye on Appalachian Cold, Essentials & what all needs to still be done. Thank God for Patriots. I like your video thumbs up. But you are nuts for being out in the cold doing this video, lol. I hate cold weather with a passion. Merry Christmas Guys.
If ya’ll liked just riding around and looking at the decorations you need to book a room the weekend of the Christmas parade and pack baby girl up. It is the best experience! I have a whole photo album on my FB if you ever want to see the photos. People praying in the streets, the streets shut down for the parade, people laughing and talking together. It was the best experience ever!! That’s when I decided to move to the mountains.❤
I always loved Abingdon. Worked there for awhile too. However, I am not a fan of keeping the old coal towns alive financially with tourism. I realize that drastic times call for drastic measures. But I live very near Welch and that's what's happening here. I remember it thriving with more businesses and people than you could count. Residents. Now it's trail riders, picture takers, etc, many of them not so nice. And there's still no industry alive here. No jobs. A couple lodging facilities and restaurants don't make a town. Ask full time residents who were in these areas when they were real towns how they like living in a tourist area? The majority will tell you it ain't great. Few residents. Few jobs. But some of the town treasuries thrive. Including this one.
What lovely, clean, little town! ❤
We got some nice snow here in West Virginia
Thanks for sharing!! Awesome decorations! I enjoy riding through small towns at Christmas. They have the best decorations. My small town goes all out!
They really do!
Merry Christmas to you guys and the little one.
Thank you so much and merry Christmas to you!

Went to the Barter Theatre when I was very young.

We’re not big fans of the cold ourselves! Haha it’s worth it in small doses for Christmas festivities though.
❤Abingdon!! Barter Theatre 🎭 is a must!! A Christmas Carol playing live there through 12/22 !! Merry Christmas 🎄
Yes! It’s hard to beat the Barter Theatre!

Sounds so nice!!
He's making his list and he is checking it twice! Are you naughty or nice? Cheers
Melody is nice and Shane is naughty of course! - Melody 😇
Awesome. Very nice. That looks like a pretty big town, at least compared to what I see around here (other than where I live of course).
A population of about 8,000. Lots of history!
My late wife, graduated from Abingdon High School. I miss her so so so much. 😢😢
Praying you have peace and comfort during the holidays!
I don’t have enough of a reference in VA but my guess is Abington would be hard to beat.
I love Abingdon but how about Williamsburg, VA for prettiest Christmas town!
Would love to visit and see for ourselves! Maybe next year!
Is your sound a bit off?
Not as good as usual, imo.
