A buddy of mine took up golf at 28. By 31 he was a scratch. By 32 he made his state Mid Amateur side. This is what you need to do to become a scratch golfer I'm a +0.8, I've been platlying golf since I was 13 1. Get a good golf coach and go for regular lessons 2. Join a driving range and hit balls a minimum of twice a week. Every time you practice, practice with a purpose 3. Practice your short game a minimum of twice a week for a minimum of 1 hour. When you practice your chipping use the kind of balls you play with to chip with. Use only 5 balls. Chip to different holes on each shot... Then pick up and move to another position 4. Learn proper course management. Understand strategy. How to play safe. 5. Once you are below a 10 handicap get properly fitted for all your clubs including your Putter 6. Go on RUclips and listen to Bob Rotella audio books. It's free and it will help your game
I played a lot in my 20’s , faded away in 30’s and started playing again this year. Working on home set up, Mevo plus arrives Tuesday! Setting up a net down in my basement has been huge for getting reps in.
I started golf in September 2023 and I am currently at a 6.2 handicap. What I’ve learned this past year is that you can get really good really fast if you practice properly
Want to improve fast get a full shag bag hit it twice a day hitting at it adding pressure to hand pick. Hit pw and 8 iron do that for a summer and focus on tight dispersion and distance control. Your welcome
Yep, I can 100% throw that goal out the window. Its weird because I play with a true scratch golfer most of the time and they make it seem possible to get to LOL.
@@BroV1GolfI also played with tour professionals . My thinking is: 1. Course management is paramount. 2. Driver is only maximum 12% of the game: so a 1% improvement is not a huge amount: But a 1% improvement in putting and also chipping/ pitching pays much better dividends 😊. “ Little poison “ Paul Runyon is testimony to my analysis. I struggle .. 4 from 40 is a killer. Conclusion: Spend more time with your young family , and your Creator, that is where it is at . God Bless you. PS yesterday I bought a mevo plus and am going to diy a simulator. Golf is a big tease !! And will become your life .. and it is only a game .. a 🐇down a hole. 😢

This new channel is great!! It’s so cool that you’re tracking your progress!
Good luck man! I thinking playing everyday might be hurting ur game. Atleast practice as much as u play (4hrs).
100% gotta get a lot of practice in as well!
Pretty impressive that you were able to get your Hcp that low with that grip.
Nothing but the strongest grip.
lets goo jock new channel
Thanks Blaze!
I think that if you make a few swing changes over winter (with the help of a pro) that scratch goal is going to come a lot faster.
Agreed, i think i've maxed out figuring things out on my own.
Have you considered getting coached? It's helped me a ton
Got a lesson a few weeks ago. Probably getting another one again soon!
The richest teacher I've ever seen 😅 fair play

I’ve seen shag bags before but what makes them help so much?
I actually like the red golf busters logo
@@Logan_Golf same same, but different
