Love Magneto’s story. I think him being a “villain” is a matter of perspective. Been wanting this one for a while. Just my opinion but I think people are sleeping on this one. Highly underrated and I don’t subscribe to the whole mixed media hatred. You posed his cape just fine. Looks fucking awesome.
I love this statue but I'm just not a fan of the fabric cape. I wish SS would offer two versions, a fabric cape version and a sculpted cape version like Prime1 Studio.
Outside of the cape, it's a proper Magneto pose and looks like he does in his more classic era. The cape just needs some TLC to look just right. A good addition and purchase.
Even though it’s been out a while it was still good to see your take and review on it. I always thought it was an underrated piece and better looking in person. Looks good with your collection. Looking forward to the Donatello piece coming in also.

Here's a suggestion; if you have wrinkles in the cape you can use a clothes iron and use the steam function to get them out after you've decided on a pose for the cape...stay minty fresh and keep up the good work!!!
Very happy to see some Funko Pops on the Channel Gem, coincidentally enough I have collected almost nothing but Funko Pops and a few statues over the years, the newest in my collection being the Prime 1 Studios DC's Batman Damned Statue very excited for that one, Happy to see the Marvel 80th Anniversary 1st Appearance Funko Pops in the Collection! Ya know what I think Is missing. Is his big ball shield. I think it would be amazing if they ever did a piece that had a clear ball around him. Or even a partial with projectiles coming at him hitting into it and absorbing. I feel it's one of his main features that's missed. Magneto and juggernaut are my faves and when I think of magneto. That's what comes to my mind as a visual.
In pictures the base always looked plasticy and lacking detail to me but looks as though that's not the case. Thanks for the great review and close up shots. Still holding out for a custom for my Magneto but congrats on this piece. Looks to be much better than the offical pics suggest.

I just got this one today its awesome but I didn't realize that one big spike really comes out of the bass a little hard For display ability and you're right gem that cape you really need to work with it

This is my favorite Magneto... the sculpt is so good. Keep trying with the cape... it looks really good on one side! Still can’t handle the red they chose for the helmet though lol. Glad you got him!
Looks great, but I am with you on that cape. I am not sure why but I've never really found the cloth capes desirable. But even when Gem had Mysterio with the molded cape it had the tendency of looking like chewed grape Bubbalious at certain angles.. At least when it is molded though, it always keeps the wave you like.
What can I say? Yours are among my absolute favorite videos. I still remember when you did your week long XM Spider-Man villain unboxings. Gem, I literally binged those videos. One after another until I got through them. What makes your videos so special is even though some of your pieces are larger than life (some being damn near one of a kind) you are still so damn grounded and humble. The best part is I can tell it's just your character. I imagine your personal quote being 'Hey, it is what it is.' Haha! Anyway, another stellar unboxing. I was always interested in this one but never pulled the trigger. Instead I picked up the XM White Magneto (your video certainly helped me put that thing together). It's my first and sole XM piece currently until they release Prof X which I hope to get. I dig Magneto in his classic red and purple but there's just something about that white that seems so cool. I'm glad to hear your perspective on the Sideshow Mags because people seem to love to hate Sideshow, putting down their pieces at every turn. Again, great video Gem!
The only thing I can think of for the cape is if you ripple it as if the wind was blowing a flag, or would that look weird? That’s amazing that your grandfather survived such a traumatic event, makes you cherish life all the more. Awesome statue and great review Gem 💎
Love this classic '63 esque looking magneto. Dope as hell. Love the helmet and how he looks exactly like the comic with all the nice little details on his suit and belt and alla that. Honestly the mcu should try doing this a little more in making thier suits look more comic accurate and put detail onto them while still having that classic look and vibe to it instead of always going for a grounded and tactical look all the time

Dude. Imagine a full size Sentinel statue. Exactly to scale. Around three or four stories high. It's base would be rubble from a dystopian future like "Days of Future Past," or something like that. Maybe a full scale, human size Lucus Bishop looking up and showing his ID tag to the Sentinal and at the same time with his other hand, readying his laser rifle behind his back. Yes. Like it's about to go down. Would have to be housed in a 4 story museum or pimped out masion. Do you think something like that could be done for under a million? Or over?

Magneto is my favorite villain and a always wanted him in my collection, but i have not pulled the trigger yet because i can’t say he is worth that price by looking at pictures and videos. I watched your video entirely and still can not decide. Do you think that he is worth the money-now that you have him? if you have to choose between this and cable which one would you buy?
Magneto wasn't just merely a villain... Magneto was an anti-hero and based on Malcolm X.. he was opposed to Professor X's mentality about how Mutants could co-exist with humankind, but that didn't make him no villain. Plus, he saved and fought alongside the X-Men many, many times.
