    So grateful that you’re sweet family is OK. It’s so unreal that you guys would have this hurricane in the location that you are at. I am in Yulee, Florida and we are so used to hurricanes. It’s ridiculous. I still cannot believe that you guys had gotten this so bad just like you said it is unbelievable. My prayers will be with you and your family and your community along with everybody that was in the path of this hurricane. But you have a beautiful place there, it is absolutely beautiful and I know that the good Lord will help you get through this and to rebuild everything, and make it beautiful again. It’s a shame that our government has abandoned us, but they will help everyone else. But it does not surprise me, they’re evil and they have been for a long long time. So much thoughts and prayers will be with you, much love from Yulee, Florida

      Thank you so much for your prayers. I hope you are okay from the hurricanes as well! I never thought anything like this could/would hit the mountains, but you never can tell about the weather anymore. We are much more fortunate than others in the WNC mountains, it is absolutely devastating over that way.
      We will rebuild, slowly but surely ♥️♥️ Appreciate you being here!

Praying for the strength, money and help to get your lives back on track. I can see the stress on your husband on everything he has to do. We are in Northern Virginia and all we had was days of rain. New sub here. Amazing the damage that this disaster has caused. You and your family have a beautiful farm, that thankfully was not as destroyed as so many others were. Watching different channels from all around the region has been an eye opener. I’ve been amazed at how your communities have come together and helped each other out. The number of folks collecting donations and on their own dime, bringing them into areas that have the need. Not surprised that the first chopper just did the fly over. Many of the small choppers are privately owned and operated and were bringing in supplies and doing rescues, until air space was shut down. This was not a “natural” disaster. The amount of rain you received leading into the perceived arrival of the hurricane and the hurricane stalling so far north depositing more, is more water than flows over Niagara Falls in two days. I live about 60 miles from the falls, have actually flown over them in a chopper, there is boat rides (Maid of the Mist) that take you to the base of the falls, you survived a storm with more power than I’ve witnessed at the falls. You can’t possibly put into words what you have witnessed, but you have captured it very well and I thank you for sharing it. I pray your family remains safe, that the livestock remain well and the rebuilding of your barns can be done quickly. God bless and stay strong. ❤🙏

    We had flooding here in Tampa, water made it within an inch to come into my house. I have to admit when I observed all that exposed rock i got excited. we have NO rock here in Florida. I was building a wall, foundation and other things in my head when I observed the new stream bed. Great video. The massive tree damage had to be from a Tornado .

      We did make it out better than ones who received flooding in their homes. Luckily up the road at our other farm, there wasn’t much wind damage. Most of the wind damage seemed to happen from our home farm towards Damascus.
      Unfortunately we were not able to save any of the barn, it has to be fully rebuilt. Some of the metal barn is salvageable, but we are going to sell the good from it to offset some cost of the new build.

    • @terryhenderson424
      @terryhenderson424 Месяц назад +4

      @@mrs.shumate Definitely look at the break patterns from the tree portions remaining from the topped trees. Also at the break point of the downed tops. What you're looking for are swirling breaks versus wind gust breaks. In general, a broken off tree top with a lot of its branches missing/ broken around the trunk versus one side is an indicator that it was swirling like a top on its way down. - By definition we don't have tornados in our area but over the past 10 years or so we have a lot what I call "swirly whirly winds". When the tree tops start breaking off, take care. They can sail like a kite on the wind current (straight on, with a gust, or spinning like a top) for "a bit" and are VERY unpredictable; they are also very heavy if they're from a big tree.

    • @caseyquinn6458
      @caseyquinn6458 29 дней назад

      @@terryhenderson424 I thought the same thing when I saw the clip of the trees with the tops snapped off. That looks like classic tornado damage. Florida broke a record with the number of tornados in Milton. Climate change is not real right? I vote for the scientist that say yes climate change is real. Mother Nature is screaming at us that she sent a Hurricane to Virginia mountains to get everyones attention. But it's not out there on the national media.

    I'm so sorry you've had to deal with this. I'd like to ask you: Has your area received help from the rest of the country (or locals)? I've watched probably close to 50 (probably more) videos about all the recovery efforts currently going on in western North Carolina. And, I'm just curious if your area is receiving anywhere near the level of assistance from regular Americans like the people in western NC are?

    “For You have been a strength to the poor, A strength to the needy in his distress, A refuge from the storm, A shade from the heat; For the blast of the terrible ones is as a storm against the wall.”
    ‭‭Isaiah‬ ‭25‬:‭
    Just watched your video and could feel your pain for your losses and yet thankful you can still see your blessing of all you didn’t loose through it all. So many have lost so much it’s hard to know where to even help but praise God he is bigger than all of this and he still hears and answers our prayers and all of us can pray. My prayer to you, your family and your neighbors is that God fully restore all you’ve lost plus more and he lift up your faith in this season of storm. God bless you all. Love in and through Christ our Lord and Savior.

    God bless you and your family. We can't all be there to physically help you fix all this but know we are doing anything and everything possible from afar to get you the help you'll need to recover. Most importantly, we are lifting your community and the countless others affected by this tragedy up before our Lord constantly. Stay strong, put one foot in front of the other and moving forward. We will get through this IN SPITE OF BEING ABANDONED BY THE FEDERAL GOVERNMENT WHO HAS BILLIONS AND BILLIONS FOR UKRAINE BUT NOTHING FOR THOSE WHO PAID THE TAX DOLLARS THEY EAGERLY GIVE AWAY TO FOREIGN COUNTRIES WITH COMMIE TYRANT DICTATORS AND USE TO FUND WARS!! God bless you all!

      I appreciate your kind words so much. We have some wonderful friends, neighbors, and community. It has really brought us together. It is unfortunate that our government hasn’t offered more support. But we will rebuild, slowly but surely ♥️

    Thank God, Prays 🙏🏻 working, thank God you have home, and farm, and Machinery are still okay but what you're saying about North Carolina yes it's very awful and it looks like a war zone that's why you have to word it I've been watching on RUclips I'm from North West Pennsylvania we have been praying for all of you North Carolina Tennessee Virginia all the way down towards Florida who had been going through the hurricane, it's very sad what's really awful how people passed away and I'm so grateful Virginia wasn't hit very hard wow I didn't it was 150 mph wind but you could see over in North Carolina when the helicopters fly over it hadn't been about 4 or 6 tour the way the trees get swirl knocked over and then it got a dirt cuz it was so wet and then it made the river even wider on both sides they had or look like a tornado came through and disgust of dirt. Thank God you have farm animals also a lot of farmers crops are destroyed and that water is polluted between oil and factories the one of them was they make the PVC pipes can I use chemicals also so now they're realizing even the soil is demolished they can't grow anything. Now hopefully they get some rain soon cuz they have any rain since the hurricane and up here in Pennsylvania where same way it's been a month now they're for warning people do not burn cuz those leaves are going to cause a fire and I just seen it on the news Blue Ridge Mountains in North Carolina or having a fire so if you see bad smoke that's why are smelling it one of the farmers don't live too far like a half an hour or so a pair Northwestern Pennsylvania they had a fire also they were able to get it out for the whole entire day and get the fire out God bless you guys I'm so glad to hear a good story and how you came through all of it by the grace of God. Keep pray 🙏🏻, do not give up, it had to be hard to see that mess. Still find people who past away Nov 3 rd. .

      By ‘enemy’ you mean Mother Nature? Cuz I’m currently working my 20th hurricane in my 18 year career and I still haven’t met an “enemy”. Be educated, these good folks need less conspiracy and fear and more generosity and hope.

    So many trees need to be replanted. If you don't it's just going to get worse😢
    So much work is going to be needed to cut up and remove all the fallen trees because if you don't it's going to be a fire hazard😢😢

    Sharing everyone of Jesus Christ, He is coming back. We are spiritually saved by grace through faith in Jesus Christ our Lord God and Savior. Religions cannot save. Only Jesus Christ saves.
