@@mtbguides_Rich im jealous! suck an insane descent that one. tbh i'm not a massive fan of stone built paths with water troughs, never actually been down dollywagen, it looks savage! what's it like compared to the steep bit at the bottom of birkside?
I'm with you on the pitching its every where round here now, we just have to get on with it. Birkside only has one little very steep bit thats pretty similar to Dollywagon.
Great video mate. The descent from the tarn down to Patterdale is one of my favourites; Dollywaggon is good but it's tough on the body and I tend to think of it as the way to get to the Patterdale one. I need to give the St Sunday Crag / Patterdale loop a go at some point.
i love this route! gonna have to get back up here soon, somebody has just smashed my kom down grisdale by nearly a minute! i walked it and though this would be rubbish, almost unrideable for the bike, but my mate rode it on a group ride and said it was really good. it's weird what you can ride down when you're actually on the bike and not looking at it from the sides!
@@mtbguides_Rich that very nearly happened on my first attempt of this i have on video. cruising nicely then boom, nearly otb! not sure how i stayed on. you're lucky living up there, the riding is like nothing else! hard graft up and down. keep the sweet videos coming, it's giving me my lakes fix!
every time I walk down dolly wagon I think. no way would I come down this on a bike. great riding mate. think I need to start butching up 💪
Dollywagon is pretty brutal and I had some moments, doing Birk side tomorrow it flows a bit better but still has some challenges.

Great video Rich, I loved it, one of my favourites!
Grand day out 👍

I agree totally, thanks.

We carried up that way, had nice tea and cake at hut from Macmillan charity. Would love to ride down it next time. Bkxc also has a similar video.
Yes it's a great tec decent, well worth the effort getting up there, if you love tec you'll love this.

Sometimes you just find the flow and the bike just glides down insane stuff, then sometimes a little rock sends you over the bars 😂

Good vid Rich. You need to get some Knee and Elbow pads on and some different brake pads. LOL
Not much left of the brake pads after that, I need a full set of body armour.
