- So I left China to visit my family and friends in the city of Sunderland, my hometown, it's located in the North East of England. Sunderland is a port city in Tyne and Wear, England. It is the City of Sunderland's administrative centre and in the historic county of Durham. The city is 10 miles from Newcastle-upon-Tyne and is on the River Wear's mouth to the North Sea. I'm going to head back to China after my holiday here in England, but i need a 24 hour negative PCR test before I board the plane.

Since I've been home the time has flew, but hopefully, I'll be back home in the summer and for longer, and maybe more videos in more cities in the summer when it's nice and warm!
Must be a great feeling to be back to your hometown. UK is so beautiful. Love the quaint brick houses and the typical UK long-backyard. The walk to the lighthouse is so relaxing and scenery is very nice.
Yeah after all those years I've missed home too much, but not being home for too long has made me appreciate the small things like the stuff you just mentioned
@@arafsadventures I found the lighthouse on Google maps, haha. I can use Streetview. But definitely would be nice to enjoy the fresh sea breeze there in person.
Thanks for the walk! It's literally my favourite place on Earth! We used to live in Fulwell and took the same route as you did in the video, my kid played in those rockpools and I enjoyed my coffee just like you did. I hope to go back and live there again.
Yeah it's definitely the best place in Sunderland. It's becoming a little holiday resort with the new hotels and restaurants. Ah sounds like nice memories 😊 I'm sure I will in time 🙏

@@Kimbersf Seaburn beach is beautiful, and there's the stack there for places to eat and drink, best area in Sunderland in my opinion

@@Kimbersf Stack is an area with many bars and restaurants, street food, and a good vibe. Roker and Seaburn beach are my go to places

The Blandford, you were not upstairs in there in 1990s ..

@@arafsadventuresno, I used to hang around with Rock type people and first time I went was around 1992, there was fights upstairs, a pool table, you couldnt see you hand in front of you for smoke. The bouncer was called Laney who gave everyone a hiding, downstairs was alcoholics, it was a mess, last time I went in it was 1996.

Well the North East in general has a lot of beaches, and a lot of countryside if that what you're into, it's not busy like London, it depends what you want

Not as far as I know, but swimming in the sea has only became popular here in the last few years as the weather is getting warmer in the summer, but I haven't heart of anything dangerous in there no

With the Job I'm in, in the country I'm I have not choice but to change accents 😂 I don't even know me teal accent anymore haha
where in china are/were you? i lived in wuhan for a year then moved to hangzhou for 3 years
Ah nice! I'm in Wuxi which is close to Shanghsi. Still here, but will be vidting home in July time

@@robchissy I'm definitely planning on visiting Hangzhou now that travel is easier. Yeah it's very developed these days, they're always building something new haha
@@arafsadventures i was in wuhan from 2004 to 2005, then hangzhou from 2005 to 2008, they were always building stuff then, i would recommend going to song cheng park, there is an old time village in there and lots of free shows, some you may have to pay for, there is lots to do, prepare to spend a full day there, there is even a mount rushmore and white house replica in there

Only one decent thing came out of sunderland, that was After Dark, ain't been a decent house/techno club since...
It's a crap hole, especially in the North of Sunderland (Southwick, Downhill, Witherwack & Redhouse) we are PLAGUED by gangs on Motorbikes, the police are invisible. I'd not go out at night either. The Cemetery next to me has been trashed by gangs. We have also been flooded with foreign people which puts strain on housing and the NHS, foreign men hang around the city centre and harass young girls. The only nice parts is Seaburn, Fulwell & parts of Barnes and Tunstall.
Yeah I seen a big change when I got back, with me not being back for 2 and a half years it was easy to see the changes. The whole country is in a bit of a mess atm, that's why I work abroad, no ones taking a grip of the problems, because no one wants to upset anybody

That goes on no matter what town or city your from. In the uk. All areas have some nice parts and some shit holes
Even york which looks beautiful in the city centre. Till you go on through the council housing estates. Everywhere in the UK has a bad area.

Hey Araf. We played football on the beach in the winter and I swear there was ice in places on the sand. We ended up in Notriannis with mugs of hot chocolate with both hands on the mugs thawing out. 🔥
