I’m a former Mormon now Orthodox who lives in Utah county. Saints Peter and Paul was the first Orthodox parish I visited when I was discerning between the Catholic and Orthodox faiths. I remember my conversation with Father Paul when I later met with him. He’s really an amazing priest and he got me going on my path home. 2 years later I was received into the Church, though in a Greek parish that was closer to my house. Father Anthony is truly a man of God too. I am so grateful to have found the Orthodox faith. Knowing that the Church never disappeared into apostasy but instead is still here and is even growing in Utah due to the work of men like Fathers Justin, Paul and Anthony in Christ is amazing.

Fr. Justin brought me into Orthodoxy 5 years ago at Sts. Peter & Paul, at the time a cynical reporter and burned out Evangelical preacher’s kid. He is my spiritual father (though young enough to be my son), and a cherished friend. Loved this interview.

As a former mormon, now a member of the Church of Christ, the One and Only, Holy Catholic and Apostolic Church, adhering to Orthodox doctrines according to the early church Fathers, attending Sts Peter and Paul Orthodox Parish, I'm glad Orthodoxy is growing in Utah.

Christ is risen! I have heard such great things about your church. Talk about beauty!!! 😍 I love that you have a cemetery too, that is so thoughtful and something I never thought of really- it’s so important. Can’t wait to visit your lovely parish someday.

Does anyone know if the St Xenia's in Payson has a choir or music or just a soloist? Music especially orthodox choirs is something I have always wanted to experience.

@@odrap3884 Cool! They have been doing a lot of Construction right through that area, building a roundabout so check your routes but I think they are finished. I can't wait to hear all about it. I am not sure even when or their main service is, maybe I'll show up too. LoL

Oh wow! I thought it was Sts. Peter and Paul. So did they change the name of the church, or was Fr. Justin moved? I take it you're talking about the new church that would accomodate more people, because Sts. Peter and Paul's community was so packed that they needed a new campus.

@ heatherstub As a member of Sts. Peter and Paul, we needed to grow and found property in Payson.
Once St. Xenia's wss built Fr. Justin and Fr. Paul were doing alternating weeks between the two. A house wad also built on the Payson property for Fr. Justin. We are now sister parishes, each with their own priests.
The growth in each is phenomenal, and further expansion is very likely. expansion.
I live in Salt Lake City, but usually now attend in Payson

@@heatherstub No, Fr. Paul is the priest of Sts. Peter and Paul every week now. Fr. Justin is for St. Xenia's.
They are now two separate parishes.
