That would have been sick if you guys placed the flames behind the tires but not so close to catch the car on fire lol. So it looks like the car has wasted all its tires and is now burning flames as its drifting. Would be a pretty cool photo. Reminds me of the 350z that caught on fire and it still finished the lap drifting on fire.
No skid pad. Hawkeye Downs was my first drift event. Pretty beginner friendly the bank is pretty wide so unless you’re super wild you’ll be okay. 2 hours for me too.
The first turn is kinda sus because of the wall but most people starting out (including me) skip the wall until we get comfortable. You should come out to the next event MWB5 to check it out.
