"The way I look at singleness is not why am I not married? There's something wrong with me. The way I see it is what does God want me to accomplish right now that I could not accomplish if I was married." Whew! Now, that's a word!

You know...one thing I learned is sometimes we gotta just be honest with God and say, " God, I really want..... But God...if that ain't what You want for me...give me a desire to want what you want because its hard outchea "

People constantly remind me of the blessing that is the single season. “Come and go as you please, travel, become the best version of yourself” etc. I must admit this is something I have not always appreciated but I am starting to again. I am loving this series and the fact that there’s so many different episodes and perspectives. Looking forward to next Wednesday!

I just got out of a relationship with a man who had all the HEAD knowledge about God/Christianity, yet his heart was far away. It took two months into dating, (despite my careful questionings) to truly learn he was not close to God at all, which was really hard. But God was good in saving me from further heartbreak if we dated any longer. And i could have only known, through seeing if his words and actions aligned over time. Unequally yoked doesn't just apply to dating non-Christians, but also Christians who don't truly know God's spirit. Pray for them- but don't date them 🙏🏼🙏🏼

I thank God for differences in culture :) In a lot of African( where I'm from) and probably others, women from a young age are groomed to be good 'wives' and everything seemed to be about pleasing a man so I was at war in myself because I wanted to please God but then again hated the feeling that all I did revolved around being good for man X who didn't really need to do much! I have however decided to be a godly woman to be a woman that follows Christ and pursues Christ and that will make me that godly woman not necessarily for a man ;)

Honestly I find it hard to put perspective around singleness and/or married. I was married to a man who said and lived a Christ like life but when it became too difficult to do the right thing he gave in to his past. Stay pure, work on the character God has laid out in his Word. Now I struggle trusting that anyone would be totally honest with me. It has placed a wall around my heart and looking back I seen some signs but I felt like this was the life I chose and I must see it through. Then a wonderful counselor shared with me the truth of honor and integrity are of utmost importance and he was not living in an honorable or trustworthy relationship with Christ. I have been divorced for 12 years and God is working on my focus and pointing me to Himself. He is all I need and if and when he chooses to open my heart for that type of relationship again, I want to be prepared to grow deeper mot farther apart! Thanks Mandisa for this series. 💌

Hey thanks for sharing !! That is so powerful. It can be so difficult to truly know the state of one's heart before God. And unfortunately sometimes, we learn things later (rather than sooner) about them. But God's timing is perfect, and If this man could not lead you to Christ- this is not God's best for you. God fulfills and sustains alone, and i'm praying for you x

@mandisaofficial God has truly surrounded you with THEE MOST AMAZING friends! This panel is so real, so transparent, and truly men and women after God’s own heart. My takeaway from today is “what if marriage is not intended to make you happy, but to make you whole?” Wisdom! Wisdom! Wisdom! There’s kingdom purpose for marriage and God molds and shapes us in the wait. We’re not to sit and wait on God to bring us our spouses to discover our destiny. We are to continue on the path that God has for us, and He’ll make our paths cross along the way to destiny. Truly enjoying these episodes! ❤️👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽😇

Situationships are the worst, I was in one for a year and unfortunately, I was blinded by it because the guy was a Christian and portrayed himself like such a godly man, I put up with being treated badly but I liked him a lot and I never really internalized what people around me told me until I decided I got tired of the whole thing. Being liberated from that was the best thing ever. I truly thank God for that.

As I go through my 2nd divorce, I am looking back to see what was so wrong. I keep hearing the word transparent being used. It's not easy to look in the mirror and see the ugly, but how else can God cut the branch off if I don't know it's there and needs to be pruned? Love the talk show Mandisa 💜

Thank you so MUCH for this series. After 21 years of marriage I found myself unexpectedly single. These past 2 years after the divorce were a HUGE growing time for me and at fhe beginning of 2020 was so READY to get out and meet someone again. Needless to say EVERYTHING about 2020 is God telling me to be patient and wait (not something I'm good at). I was chafing under this forced inability to get out and socialize until you started this series. Through these 10 conversations God has manifestly been showing me that I have more growing to do but that it is OK. I am in a blessed place right now in my singlehood. So...THANK YOU for keeping it real and exploring this bittersweet topic of the yearning to find someone to share your life with, yet remaining within the bounds God has placed in our lives. 😊❤

First of all, thank you so much for this wonderful series Mandisa! It has blessed so many of us. Secondly, I agree with the woman who said that we should look at being single as an opportunity to accomplish certain things that God wants us to accomplish during this season. The single season is a short time compared to marriage and having a family and it is the only time we’re ever really going to be alone. So what does God want us to work on or accomplish during this time? How does God want to improve us? How does he want to make us more righteous and holy? ❤️

I love the series you are doing. This particular one really got my attention. I am older and was once married along time, but I've been single for as long now. Years ago I boxed myself in to thinking I would never experience a healthy marriage. I failed misserably at the first one... So I was going to be single for the rest of my life. This year God has said Katherine stop boxing me in and let me do my work in you. I love preparing yourself to be Mrs right and to stop looking for Me right. He will find us if it's God's plan. You are such an encouragement.

I am so enjoying this series, Mandisa! I was just discussing unboxing God the other day with another sister. Remember how it was said so many times in the Old Testament that they limited the Holy One of Israel. That's something I don't want to do in my life. The Lord can do anything if it's in His will. He cannot lie because He can bring it to pass. I am 48 yrs old, never married and no children and love what the sister said on here about this being my time for God to work on me and allow me to work on what He wants me to work on. I keep myself encouraged that just as I may sometimes desire to be married, I must keep things in perspective and remember that Christ came to show us the plan of salvation and everything else is a want but to become an overcomer is a need.

I am really enjoying this series- I want to see more like it. I love hearing the questions I have from the mouth of a black woman around my age in a totally different reality than my own. You have some really great and articulate friends that speak volumes when it comes to common spirituality but individual diversity. Honestly I am not a fan of the title "Christian" because I think Jesus would be weirded out by the term. But as a somewhat isolated single Believer- this speaks to me as very important content to share- it is very Real and you have done a great job of hosting, leading and facilitating. Many blessings to you and your friends.

I'm sorry but I like the lady in the white 😊😊😁🙏🙏 shirt 18:58 she always have some good pointers and speaks from transparency maybe because if what she experienced in her 20's or whatever but she comes firm a lot of wisdom and grace her and Natalie always seem to have some good pointers like they've been in this longer trancpercy longer but they seem so young in physically in the flesh they've come from experience wow 😳

Thank you Mandisa and I really have enjoyed listening to each one of your friend's. Sharing their real life experiences and advice. Being a single woman as well. I'm looking for someone who's different than what I use to choose. I definitely believe in those fruits of the spirit when looking at a man who has those kind of character's. Being imperfect people as we are. I'm patient and waiting for God's timing . As I continue to be an encourager to uplift my family, friends and my IG Fam. Plus those I meet along the way with love.

This series is amazing 🤯. I would NOT use the passion translation. The person who did it is shady.

I agree, it does not Translate well. I also wish the Bible was used instead of the phone.

Its funny 😢😢 how even though somebody can talk so highly about someone 11:34 they can still change during marriage for some reason given some people's perspective testimony I guess 🙏😞😞
