Raiden is a much better overall character than Smoke, so it's a hard comparison to make. I encourage you to play Smoke and lab his buttons and frames to see how much better Raiden is 🤘🏻
@@MushaFGC I'm not saying Raiden is bad, but he could use some more combo routes to allow for better player expression. I can't remember the last time I saw a Raiden player do something I've never seen before
@MWOPPDLX I get that, I'm just meaning that if they both had similar options, but Raiden had better buttons overall, it would be even more unbalanced don't you think? So I can understand removing some of Raiden's options for the sake of not completely crushing Smoke in comparison. I think player expression dies down normally when easier or more optimal routes become known, but I get what you mean 🤘🏻

Ninja Gaiden theme is just a cherry on top of this combo vid. I mean consider that Smoke is a ninja. Man we need Ryu Hayabusa in MK. Dude was a ninja who fight supernatural entities and kill them in bloody brutal way. That is literally the description of MK character 😂. Ryu Hayabusa fit perfectly in MK as a guest character. Sad that Kratos is the only video game character to appear as guest so far.

Video game characters were really left-off for some reason. Imo, the likes of Ryu Hayabusa, Doom Slayer, or Alex Mercer is objectively far more better and cool to be added as a guest character in MK compare to the Movies characters.

Im a bit disheartened with the buffs though :/ They dont really do anything to fix his issues, and honestly the new combo routes are completely pointless because they cost more meter (which he needs for invisibility), and his old optimals still do more damage. Like, is it flashy? Yea sure! But flashy doesnt equal better unfortunately :/
@ComboHeaven He used to get 48% 1 bar and 43% meter-less with Scorpion. I've been labbing him with the new cancel, but using his F12grab string scales the damage hard :/ I wish they just made F1 a mid instead honestly. Or gave his F3 a different safer follow up. That would help him so much!
You will never see any of this online. It’s literally just Foward 4, Foward 3, Back 2, and grab over and over again. Oh and mashing Down 1 after everything….
@@daelin9759 because at a high level smoke is a very hard character. Lots of one tricks using him at low levels with Sareena but the players who can use his cancel pressure well are a nightmare to fight.
@ even if you don’t have the execution to do the cancels, you can still do better than this. I could do this for damn near every character in the game and it’s not because every character has high execution, it’s because the players are braindead and the game doesn’t punish players for playing like this, I would say the game even encourages playing this way.

Some of these may scale like crazy, but he still does good damage. It feels weird saying that, but that's how I would describe these combos.
So Smoke can restand the opponent out of the air, but Raiden can't have his fucking ground bounce on his air 224? Make it make sense.
