A gentleman I went to High School in Queens,NY in 1974 turned me on to Mike Bloomfield. I made him listen to Peter Greens Fleetwood Mac. I think it was a good trade... both 2 amazing legends!!!!
He used a les paul through a Fender super reverb, utilizing 4 10 inch Jenson speakers. This is the iconic sweet cutting tone he played so well. Last time l saw him with nick gravenites in portland or he was using a. Borrowed white stratocaster.no peddles!!! Clean like only the best can play. Funky, unsuspected, flash speed. Listen to quit hurting myself. James brown would be impressed. His feeling is so real compared to today's players, yet was just as technically efficient.people get tired of manufactured guitar .noises , feedback, diving overdubbed guitars are so cliche.sure, they are great, but mike just plugs in the Amp. THIS is typical of pre 1966 players. Pedals didnt exist. It was in your wrist, fingers.😮
Aro comment, was best I've ever seen, and only seen him one time, live at Fillmore, got on back cover, right in middle of market n Van Ness, I've listen to everything he's ever done, since, and never get tired if his guineas miss him
Where has this been all my life! I've heard some of these versions on RUclips before but not all in one place and so well engineered. Merci mille fois, as the french say.
This is real treasure!!! Just happend across a wonderful rail adventure of yours ,and what do you know we have things in common! I'm 67 and was at the Fillmore more than a few times . thank you for saving real treasure!!!!!
@@tomproctor.archiveI am amazed at your choices, the best of the best , wonderfull catalog of music history! I will have many hours of enjoyment thanks to you !!!!!
Mikes secret weapon was being left handed and playing right handed......thats how he got that tone....a heavy left hand......plus tons of talent........im a lefty that plays right handed....nowhere near Mike though....
Maybe because he was born in Chicago in 1941, and his first friend went down went he was 17 years old. Then his father said "son, you better get a gun."

Who's this voice in SLA
I assume gravenites
Anyone know who the other guitar player is?
Nick Gravenites - Vocals , Guitar
It’s not Gravenites. He’s nowhere near that fluid.
@@cbbohn8107YES it is Nick.
Sounds like Nick to me…
That is the one of the worst singer I've ever heard...
