- I demonstrate how to perform a linear regression analysis in SPSS. The data consist of two variables: (1) independent variable (years of education), and (2) dependent variable (weekly earnings). It was hypothesized that years of education would be positively associated with weekly earnings. Additionally, the slope (unstandardized beta weight) and intercept (value of Y when X is 0) were identified and interpreted.
I can't believe there are people giving you shit for mouth noises when I'm just glad I found videos that were just what I needed. Thanks
without your videos there would be no chance of me passing my uni dissertation :)
you should attach these files or a link to these files on these videos so we can practice along side you
Bro, you're saving my life for real!!!!!
This video is fantastic. You're great at explaining these concepts! Very clear and concise. Thanks for the vids.
who's got a test tomorrow???

Brilliant videos, these have been invaluable in me teaching myself statistics. Many thanks.
Mate you are my personal hero.
Sir thank you for your work, thank you for your kindness. And thank you for your solid tutorials!
Hey how2stats,
First of all, I'd like to thank you for your wonderfully simple to understand videos! Secondly, I just wanted to ask if there was a way to obtain the corrected Akaike Information Criterion (AIC) values for a model using SPSS?
Appreciate your help in advance!
Regards :)
Thank you for all your help!
Thank you for helping me to save my poor statistic report that will due in days :' )
What if you have multiple dependentvariables but only 1 independent?
How can we transform the sub-items of variables into one item for regression?
This is a great video.
Thank you so much! I understand this. I have a level 5 stats test tomorrow. Think I'm in with a chance of passing now
instablaster.
Good brief explanation>Very helpful :) ! Thankyou so much :)
exactly what i am looking for.. super :)
Great video
may god bless you
Are you sure its not assumed homoscedasticity? Implying you assume all the variances are the same
Hy, just had a concern about statistical test. Is corelation a right test for analysing census data? For example, I am analyzing 4 consecutive census data on how increase in labor migration has increased the family separation. Can you provide your suggestions or should I do regression?
If I have one IV and one mediator variable and one DV variable what type of regression analysis would run??
Can you explain how to control for confounding variables?
heteroscedasticity is Greek for hetero = different and scedasticity = scattering . Flies away in Greece :P
Clear, thanks
I have data from a survey conducted by the bureau of statistics. these are the findings of their survey such as education level by age group, gender wise, region wise. please guide me how can i enter this data in spss for empirical estimations. plz help me.
if i have 5 questions for the product category (Independent variables), how do i combine the data gathered for these 5 questions into one--> Product?
hi! im trying the exact same thing with multiple questions within a variable. Was wondering if you could help me ou.
hi can you plz tellme how to use correlation with multiple response for questionnaire
I have 18 test questions given to many participants, the questions measure conscientiousness- Consientiousness is my dependent variable. Then, I have several questions which address task performance. I need to scale these by going to compute variable and finding the mean of the questions FIRST RIGHT?
I doubt conscientiousness should be considered your dependent variable. People's personality would be expected to predict their task performance, not the other way around. Typically, people would calculate the average of the conscientiousness items or the sum total; the standardized results will be the same either way (but the unstandardized results will be different). Same with task performance, assuming the task performance items measure a common attribute.
what is the benefit of having regression analysis ? it will help us in finding what ?!
As it estimates both the intercept and the beta weight, you can build an equation to predict a value of Y based on a particularly value of X. Check out my general video on linear regression.
TOP! THANKS!
sir i sisnt understand the output of lineare regression analysis inb spss...will you please help me sir
Hey I am trying to find out if participants weight fluctuations during 2 different diets affected their production of sulphide in their gut. I was wondering what tests I would use? I have baseline and final weight for both diets, some lost weight some gained but how do I compare that to their sulphide concentrations?
paired sample t test we can use this type of data
What is the use of Standard deviation value?
i have 4 question that represent my dependent variable, how to combine all this 4 question to be use at correlation? since i want to correlate dependent with independent variable ?
you can put 4 question into one dependent variable by computing command in spss and then run the test
@@aqsagillani4025 compute what command exactly?
can i make linear regression with 8 value
Anyone tell me how to get negative regression
What if u have multiple independent variables
Good question: You can use 'multiple regression'. You can watch me do a basic one here: ruclips.net/video/ulv_erdmPzc/видео.html
Hi Siobhan

heteroscedasticity: ruclips.net/video/dJFAkPLrbx4/видео.html
Great information! However, for the love of gawd, please drink some water or something! It is painful to watch this video when all I can hear is your lips smacking together *shudders*
you talk too much
Heteroscedasticity.
you don't talk enough
