    Using the dataset we created in the first video, we now explore the relationship between our two scale-level variables: height and weight. We will use Pearson’s correlation to measure this relationship. We will also learn about a point biserial correlation with gender.

    This video uses a dataset we create in the first video of the series and SPSS version 24

    What a hero you are - the software I was using to do quant analysis in my mixed methods thesis just stopped working as I'm re-running all my data prior to submission. So I have to learn SPSS in a night. This video is SO helpful - thank you !!!

    answered.
    May I know the reasons why the correlation between gender and weights can be considered significant while that between heights and weights is considered insignificant because the sample size is too small? I do not understand because the sample is the same in both cases.

    Really recommended for beginners. This video shows steps to perform analysis using spss with interpretation on the result. besides, as beginner, you should also read introduction to statistic book as well .

      Hi, you are right, in this case I think it's important to check the normality because per r is parametric.

    Many thanks for your video. I was wondering if we could use Pearson Correlation to measure the relationship between a numerical variable and a categorical variable. Based on your video, it seems to me that we can do that... Example: you examined the relationship between gender and weight.
