The Magician is a Great album with ' Rain ' a perfect 3 minute song. Demons and Wizards is my favourite. David Byron one of the greatest vocalists ever. Uriah Heep were awesome from 1970 to Return to Fantasy album. Saw them 5 times first in 1971 Look at Your Self tour.

    URIAH HEEP simply BRITISH LEGENDS.
They were way ahead of the rest in the early 1970s.
All brilliant musicians & David Byron on vocals
The great Mick Box on guitar who is still going

Shame on me: I've forgotten: One of the Gratest Album of Uriah Heep: 'Look at Yourself' (1971). It is a absolute Highlight in the History of Rock. An absolute Delight! Phantastic! The best Albums of Uriah Heep (my personal Ranking): First Shelf: 1. Salisbury (1970); 2. Look at Yourself (1971); 3. The Magican's Birthday (1972); 4. Very ..eavy..very ..umble (1970); 5. Demon's and Wizards (1972); 6 Sweet Freedom (1973)! 🌳🥀🌷✨ Kind Regards Heinz from Munich. ☺ Have a good Day and a wonderful Weekend. Kind Regards also to your Family. ❤✨

Ken Hensley (vocals, keys, guitar - songwriter/lyricist for most songs), Mick Box (guitar), The GREAT late Lee Kerslake drums/backing vocals/kazoo .. And picked up by Ozzy Osbourne for his band (and many others).. one of the great unsung rock drummers etc., etc., ... Gary Thain on bass - wow - talking walking bass .. wonderful stuff.

BANG!!!!!!!!!!!!! GREAT DISCOVERY! The magnificent Roger Dean is the same artist that did most of the YES album covers. He also inspired the landscapes in AVATAR and although he sued for credit he was out lawyered sadly. URIAH HEEP were one of my MOST CHERISHED Hard Rock acts during the early 70s pre-classic mainstream Metal era. Each member stood out for their unique skills. I TOTALLY recommend this FULL ALBUM and "THE WIZARD, released months earlier in 1972. (IMO it's the PEAK year for the most groundbreaking records across ALL GENRES.) BOTH albums with this original lineup were their MASTERPIECES. Their music often consisted of magical, fantastical characters, MYTHIC mystical themes & visceral storytelling interwoven with wonderful gorgeous acoustic moments which often included elements of PROG. You MUST listen to more!!!!! DEFINATELY WORTH taking the journey through discovering this awesome unique band!

The whole Album is a Dream in Music. Ken Hensley was Songwriter, Composer, Great Musican with the voice of God, Keyboardist and grandious Guitarist. His first 2 Soloalbums, he played almost all Instruments and singing almost all Voices. His first two Soloalbums are: 1. Proud Words on a dusty Shelf (1973) 👍👍👍👍👍 and 2. Eager to Please (1975) 👍👍👍👍👍 Both Soloalbums are from God's Grace! A 'must have'! In every Collection! Ken Hensley died a few Years ago. R. I. P. Ken. ✨✨✨🌷🌷❤

@@L33Reacts pleasure. You must (!!!) buy both first Soloalbums of the Great Ken Hensley. I've written. 1. Proud Words on a Dusty Shelf - the first (1973) and 2. Eager to Please (1975) - his second Soloalbum. The Albums are a Dream in Music! Ken was also the prime Composer of Uriah Heep. They made many amazing Albums. One of their best Albums is 'Salisbury' from 1971. But also 'Demons and Wizards' (1972) and also their Debüt' '...Very..heavy very ..umble.. (1970). But their best Album, in my opinion, is 'Salisbury' (1971)! Believe me. ☺✨ Kind Regards Heinz.

@@kennethjacobs2963 Ken Hensley was a phantastic Musican, Songwriter and Lyricist. He played phantastic Guitar, Organ, Piano and he have had a absolute wonderful great expressive voice. I've seen Uriah Heep at the 5th February 1973 (The Magican's Birthday Tour in the Sedlmayer Hall in Munich/Germany. It was my First Rock Concert I've visited. The Concert was Great, U. H. were in Top Form. This Evening, their Guitarrist Mick Box was sick and couldn't play the Show, so he stayed in the Hotel. But the band made the decision despite it to play the Show, without Mick Box. So, during the Show, Ken Hensley played both, the (Gibson) Guitar and also the Organ. The Gibson was laying on his Hammond Organ. So he had played the Organ, stand up, take his Gibson from the Hammond, played the Guitarparts, sit down, played the Hammondorgan, stand up again, played the Gibson again and so on..all the Time, the whole Show. So, on this evening, Uriah Heep are only four members, David Byron (vocals); Gary Thain (Bassguitar); Lee Kirslake (Drums) and - last not least the great Ken Hensley. The Show was unforgettable and i will never forget this evening my whole life. The Audience was absolute entusiastic, i swear you. R. I. P. Ken. You've been such a wonderful Person. ✨❤

Sounds funny when I hear someone say they’ve never heard of Uriah Heep. This is the music I grew up with.
Black Sabbath, Led Zeppelin and Deep Purple have become known as the unholy trinity of British heavy rock. Uriah Heep were, arguably 4th in line. They were pretty big in the UK.

Uriah Heep was one of the founders of Prog along with Camel, Yes, and a few others. OH and Uriah Heep is a name of a character in Charles Dickenson novels.
