I had the pleasure of seeing Ms. Cohenour perform this role at Lincoln Center. She was absolutely superb. One of my most favorite nights ever at the theatre!
When Victoria Clark went from 8 performances weekly to 6, Cohenour took over the extra 2 and so had to know BOTH Signora Naccarelli AND Margaret Johnson's roles. Impressive. This song is a work of genius as indeed is most of the music in this work. Anyone remember her as Rosa Bud in "The Mystery of Edwin Drood"?
