She is super Chill! So calm & not fidgety! My mini Aussie can’t stand still that long! She will mind me but I have to. Constantly ask her to hold still or stay! I WISH Millie was like this!
I have a nine-year-old rescue and that’s the way I did it when I saw your video. Thank you because he won’t let anyone touch him to go to a groomer or anything. He has bad arthritis and he has a bad neck so thank you again. Keep making more videos the dog is adorable.
I'm on numbers 6 and 7 now. I have had aussies or aussie mixes my whole life. I have learned to groom my babies myself because I like the natural look. My 3 year old red tri female has a docked tail, but my 10 mouth old red merle boy is naturally bobbed. I haven't really figured out a way to trim his tail where it doesn't look "strange," but my girl, I have the "aussie smile" down pretty good. I have always called them britches/breeches. 😊 Love my little wiggle butts! Ahyoka Star and Sequoyah say hi 👋.
We now have Aussie number 5 and 6, the other three are waiting for us just over the rainbow bridge. My dog Razz has fancy pants just below his hocks. I trim them to just above the hocks two or three times a year. Yes I have to clean poo out of them but I think his swishy pants are pretty neat looking from behind.
Thank you for the video. I have two females. A one year old Red Merle and a 12 week old Blue Merle. My one year old is having runny poop and I’ve had to wash her bum every time she poops. :( She is not a big fan of having her tail messed with so she keeps trying to turn away from me. So finally, I said “ there has to be an easier way! So I found your video and now, as soon as she’s feeling better, I’ll know how to trim her up properly. I’m sure we’ll both feel better and be very appreciative of your advice. I’m excited to watch Farley on her adventures. I’m sure Karah and Zoey will enjoy them also. Thanks again!!
I invested in a grooming table - soooo worth it with Aussies! I also had to invest in a good electric trimmer set with different guard lengths (my Aussie is a deaf rescue and not friendly so I do it all myself.) It will save your back! And yeah, the dingleberries are for real!!! Farley is soo cute!
Ohhh we are first time Aussie owners and have just come to realize our girl needs some serious hair management back there 😂 I will save a those scissors in my cart for her next trim. Shes going through her second menstrual cycle … shorter on the back helps so much!
My Aussie Jake doesn't have a double coat. He sheds just like the same. I use a stiff livestock brush for his coat and a fairly wide tooth comb for his britches. He goes to groomers twice a year for a classic Aussie trim, I have to make sure the groomer is experienced with Aussies so he doesn't get a "monkey butt" but I keep the "dreds" in line with the comb. I start from bottom of his leg combing slowly so tangles don't hurt. Good video. Thanks
My Aussie is a nervous wreck. Trimming the rear is always a stressful event for both of us. I purchased a Booster bath and use that to groom him so I can use both hands without a fear he would snap at me from stress. I do like the pants look on him but I tend to make the slightly tighter pants.
Im new with a aussi as i have a miniature aussi. I try to comb her regularly but she really dont like me combing her back side so thats usually a struggle. Ive been trying to work up to a trim for her bottom but i wanted to get her passed the combing the undercoat first. I need to go look for those scissors to trim her. Thank you for any help....
Thanks for the DIY tutorial. Cute video. We rescued an American Shepherd and the same thing happens to her coat. You said you have Farley groomed 2x a year professionally, can you tell me what shampoo you use in-between visits. our new girl is 3 years old and her coat is super dry, almost straw like in some areas. I think she's been shaved down before & not sure if that caused it to grow back in damaged... we will be taking her to professional in a few months, but could use a shampoo/conditioner recommendation until then. Thank you:)
Farley's hair in certain areas can also feel pretty coarse, mostly the hair on her back end. We use the shampoo and conditioner from Dandylion - it used to be available on amazon but i don't see it there right now! I also notice a big difference when adding fish oil to Farley's food - maybe that could help with your girl's coat as well! 💕
Yeah this is an endless struggle. My baby is really good about sitting for his bum baths but trims are in order. I always mangle it though and his fur looks awful so thanks for this.

Fellow first time Aussie owner too! And the struggle is real! My girl, Pippa, collects nuggets too! 🙃
I'm happy to know I'm not alone 😂
I have a rescue that was shaved before I got her. Her hair is finally starting to get better and it’s been almost a year.

Awww thank you!!! If I had space for it I would totally get a grooming table that would make it so much easier

Can you recommend a groomer for aussies? 3 years in, scared to let anyone touch our baby 😮
Tiffany used to be our groomer here in Canmore but she moved to Calgary. I LOVED her! instagram.com/the_grooming_gigg
Look at how cute 🥹 instagram.com/p/Cb0CcdvLkow
Awesome! She will probably hear from me :) And I'll be sure to mention how I found her. Thanks!
I’m trying to learn how to trim my dogs’ “Bloomers”
lmao bro "collecting nuggets in her pants" I literally call my aussie poopnugget pants
We call it a “doofa” idk why
😂 i'd love to learn how that name came to be
@@JustBeingFarley I have a song about our dog’s floofin’ doofa. I’ll tag you in it if I ever post it on insta 🤣🤣🤣
Poop magnet pants. 😂
Chaps 😂

🌟 "promo sm"
I just had to wipe my dogs ass, I think he enjoyed it as much as I did lol. So gross
Considerate. A public picnic table. Really hygienic.
Bird poo, rain, sun.
Ever seen where people will change their babies' diapers?
