Good video but the title has NOTHING to do with the video. The title implies ‘are they a good value for the $’, not their carbon footprint. Good video but very misleading title.
The best high end lodges are usually in the best wildlife viewing areas and charge alot because they put alot of the money into conservation efforts. Its a circular win win because more animals attract the tourists who will pay the higher price .....
Their carbon footprint are much less than the emissions of your aeroplane from the States to Africa and back. The waterconsumption of every lodge might be bothersome. Why the social responsibility to black communities has become the sellingpoint of a lodge fails to capture my imagination. In the end of the day its all about the game and service. What is social responsibility in any case? Does govt not bear the responsibility for the poor? The luxury lodges are worth every cent. They ensure the game stays and that cattle are kept out.
You bring up very good points. Thank you. I could respond to much of what you say and I am sure we could have a good discussion but its too much to do on this format. Thanks for commenting.
