We are for sure thinking about it. I am simply not sure if people would be interested to be stuck with us for a week and also if I can entertain people for that long! 🤣

@@DaveMani I visited Kenya a few years ago and I loved it but you guys have opened up the realities of Kenya to the entire world! Thank you for doing so! I hope your channel continues to grow by leaps and bounds! Keep it up Dave and Tracy!
I have watched thousands of safari videos. This is one of the best blog videos that I have seen. Well done and keep them coming. I was really impressed.
Looks like the moment you hooked up with Ongeri expeditions, your safari experience went up many notches higher and for good reasons. The Mani's and Ongeri expeditions is a match made in heaven. Good for both of you as this is what collaboration should be all about.
The mara after the rainy season is so lush, I love it. I never make resolutions because I always forget the moment I put the pen down but this year I'm making one. My resolution for this year is to take a trip courtesy of Ongeri expeditions
I heard Dave making the same comments and feeling the same feelings as me during my stay at Sanctuary Olonana = I will never forget my fantastic visit there and cried when it was time to leave. I told the Olonana staff to help me find a way to ship my pets to me and I'd stay there forever haha
I started to follow your channel when researching potential safari trip to Kenya and appreciate you sharing various locations and price ranges. Now that we visited with the family Angama last October I have so much more appreciation looking at your safari rides and referencing possible experiences in different lodges. Thank you! this was now put on my wish list :-)

I know the goal is to tour the world after you live Kenya this June. But I can't help but wonder of the business opportunities available to you especially on tourism/safari side of things right here in Kenya. The amount of time you've spent here, the connections and networks, the countlesss parks, reserves and sanctuaries you've visited in Kenya and the general knowledge of Kenya's tourism landscape you have gained through your experiences. I see a very big business opportunity. Maybe you can think about it when you go back home in Canada for the six weeks. Travel the world but maybe still run a tourist business here. Don't sleep on all that knowledge and experience you've built while living in Kenya.
You're for sure right but our desire to see the world is larger than our desire for business opportunities. :) Maybe we'll just start safari tours in Kenya in the near future tho. Who knows... 😎
My thinking maybe you should have a tour package Kenyan chapter and people can pay to have you two take them on various tours in Kenya and many would sign up for that...I just love your tours very informative
Glad you enjoy them. Its hard sometimes to find the perfect balance of everything. Some people want more tours, some more food and some more animals... haha doing our best.
Olonana was the head of the Maasai when the British arrived in the 1890s. Due to a major drought and a cattle disease that had come from Arabia, the Maasai had been devastated (which they have never recovered from), and their power waned. They had no option but to get into a military alliance with the British, even offered most of the land they had conquered in their march south, for British settlement. Some people see him as a traitor, and allowed violent colonization, others see him as a person who had no choice but do what he needed to do. The third highest peak in Mt Kenya is named after him, a major elite school formerly named after the Duke of York was renamed after him, and lots of places in Nairobi are also named after Lenana (Olonana).
Really high quality video! Watched from beginning to end🤩may I ask whether your game drive at this camp can go off-road, because I heard in the national park going off-road is not allowed but in private conservancies it is allowed🥰planning a safari trip myself
It's a shame that most guests just want to get a shot of the big 5 and the larger mammals in Africa. There is so much more out there that people can see and experience. Only a true safari adventurist will appreciate the birds, insects, fish, reptiles and plants.
You're right but the main reason is that most people are going on safari as a once in a lifetime trip and if that would have been the case for us to would would have had the same expectations. (Lions, elephants, cheetahs, etc.)
