89% battery health after 2ish years is good going! If you don’t feel limited by the 12 Pro Max then I’d wait. But if you’re wanting a faster display (120Hz), better cameras, USB Type-C, bigger battery, and the AI features soon to be released in the EU then maybe it might be time to look at the 15 Pro Max or 16 Pro Max. It sounds like you’ve really made the most of your iPhone 12! Getting a good deal at the time is always hard to pass up, and it’s impressive how well it’s held up. Plus the battery health at 85% after the three years you’ve been using it isn’t too bad at all, considering all the use it gets. Hopefully, it’ll keep up for another year or two until you’re ready to upgrade!
ONE LAST QUESTION what about the 14P and the 13PM coz I’m like looking for not to big phone and not to small and im looking for good cameras and battery life
I’d recommend the 14 Pro over the 13PM, you would get 48MP cameras then compared to 12MP and the battery would be about the same I think + it’s smaller which I know you wanted! If you can get it for about the same price if not even slightly more expensive than a 13PM then that’s the one I’d even go for.
No problem at all, glad I was able to give you some guidance, and yeah I'm planning on making a video testing an OLD iPhone battery to a NEW iPhone battery with the iPhone 12 in the coming days + I'm currently working on a video regarding the Sony WH-1000XM4 headphones which I hope to have uploaded by Tuesday!
iphone 12 has the same notch size as the iphone 11 or xr or iphone x but if you buy the 13 you get a smaller notch size with a better camera. surely the iphone 12 is the second generation of night mode pictures but iphone 13 is a 3rd generation so it's way better
Yeah the 13 has much better battery than the 12 as well if I recall correctly. If you can get a 13 for more or less the same price as the 12 then it would have my recommendation, both fantastic phones.
I'm still using the 12 pro max and find no need to update. Battery life is still great, I'm still impressed with all my photos, and it's still modern looking..... why would I supreme money on anything else?
Yup I'd fully agree, I'd say if I had the 12 Pro Max I wouldn't have felt the need to upgrade to what I have now. The only thing that lets the 12 Pro Max down for me, is the 60Hz screen, but if you're fine with that then you've still got a top class phone in your hands!
@ I’ve never experienced 120 hertz so 60 is fine with me at least for right now. I have the 2021 11” M1 iPad Pro (with 120 hertz) coming in the mail tomorrow, so I might be changing my mind rather quickly!
Ok thank you so much titan sorry to bother but do you also how tall both phones are coz I don’t like phones that are to big for my hands and do you also know where I can find 13PM Cases and what is the best app to buy your phones and im hoping you can make more videos like this in the future especially about phones 😊
You're completely fine don't worry, more than happy to help! For phone comparisons I usually use a site called GSM Arena, here is a link comparing the iPhone 13 PM to the 14 Plus (it has the size of the phones too): www.gsmarena.com/compare.php3?idPhone1=11089&idPhone2=11862 For phone cases I usually get mine on Amazon or AliExpress, the case I have on my 15 PM currently is from a company called Spigen but there are other brand like JETech who are pretty good too and a little more affordable, here is a case I'd recommend for the 13 PM: amzn.to/3Ut8kub (this is an affiliate link, but let me know if you want a standard one and I can send one one onto you!) As for buying phones I would recommend Amazon, and I would also recommend both of these sites to check the price history of items on every Amazon site: camelcamelcamel.com/ + www.hagglezon.com/ Although if you can't find a good refurbished or used iPhone 13 PM on Amazon I would also recommend Swappie (it's where I got my 15 PM from): swappie.com/ie/iphone/iphone-13-pro-max/iphone-13-pro-max-256gb-gold-2/
I just upgraded my iPhone 12 to the iPhone 16 pro today and I have got to say that i feel happy and sad at the same time. Happy as I just got a new phone but sad as I had to change it. If my iPhone 12 did have 256 gb of storage instead of 128 gb I would have wait a few more years before changing. ( my battery health is at 72% for the iPhone 12)
Very interesting, I went from the 12 to a 15 PM and although it’s a much nicer phone I do miss the smaller form factor. I can totally see where you’re coming from when it comes to storage - I was struggling with 64GB. Crazy you managed to get to 72% battery health, my 12 became so slow once it went below 80%!
@@MrTitanFTW Honestly when my iPhone 12 reached 78% battery health it become slow but it didn’t really affect me and wasn’t really noticeable for me. I upgraded to the 1tb storage space on the 16 pro so that i don’t ever have to worry about space again, is that too much 🫢.
I would personally go with the 13 Pro Max for the better cameras and higher refresh rate. I even think the 13 Pro Max is cheaper on the used and refurbished market than the 14 Plus at the moment which is a massive plus. In addition to that, I don't believe the value of the 13 Pro Max will fall much lower so if you do end up selling your 13 Pro Max in a few years you will probably get the majority of your money back 👍
Watching this video on an iPhone base model 12, which I have been using since December 2020. Still does the job perfectly fine. So, I won’t be upgrading it any time soon
I'm glad to hear! It was a shame that my 12 started to go down hill in performance after the battery health dropped below 80% but I am planning on getting it replaced soon for a family member to have - still a fantastic phone in a great form factor.
I'd personally recommend the 13 Pro Max if you want a higher refresh rate display and better cameras. However, if battery life is of a concern, the 14 Plus is amazing for that!
Still holding onto the 12 even at 74% battery health, I do a lot of editing work for the past 2 years and it always takes a toll on the battery, gets pretty dang hot and slows my phone down like crazy! Probably the reason why the battery degraded faster than it should hahaha. Surprisingly still performs well for normal day to day tasks even at that percentage! But yeah noticed i needed to charge way often. Planning on upgrading to the 15 Pro next year, any thoughts on that? Also a great video on the 12. Makes me appreciate my phone a little more.
Thank you so much really appreciate it. Interesting, I noticed my iPhone 12 tank in performance when it dropped below 80% battery health + having anxiety about my battery just wasn’t worth it for me anymore. I upgraded to the 15PM from the 12 and would highly recommend the change to that or to the 15 Pro. One reason I got it was to record RUclips and funnily enough this whole video was shot with the 15PM!
I’ve had my iPhone 12 since November 2020 and it’s been faultless. Battery is becoming an issue though as it’s on 79% capacity, and I’m debating whether I should replace the battery or wait for the iPhone 17.
I was in the exact same position as you, I got my phone around the same time and upgraded once the phone hit 78% battery health about 1-2 months ago. I went to a 15 PM and almost haven’t looked back, the only thing I preferred was the smaller form factor but I had to sacrifice that as I wanted a bigger battery.
Thank you much appreciated. For 7:23 there is a LUT layered on top of the photo but it was one I used throughout my video. The LUT is called Teal and Orange and I believe I got it from this video: ruclips.net/video/8H2v0PISuZQ/видео.htmlsi=9iqs0goz7HtQJ_js
I would definitely agree and say the 13 PM is one of the best Apple has made especially with it being the first iPhone to introduce the 120Hz ProMotion Display!
Yup it’s still a fantastic phone, and I’d say a lot of people in Brazil might even be looking at the SE4 when that releases as a possible upgrade depending on the price - hoping it’s affordable like the previous SE devices!
Can I ask what you feel is lacking in the iPhone 12's cameras at the moment? Let me know and I can guide you on what you can do to possibly improve the quality of photos!
The pictures are looking artificial and processing too much which isn't looking good! also in low light area in the morning the pictures are not clear, shady and blurry what to do!?😢plz help🙏
I will not upgrade still 2027 but I want to say that my manager still using the iPhone 5 S. That old man been winning a lot but he won’t change his phone anytime soon 😂
Ah I would love to, but unfortunately I don't own a 12 Pro at the moment. I'll ask around a few of the people I know and see if I can borrow their device for a video!
So from a security standpoint and also from a compatibility stand point I would if you can! One thing that sorely gets missed is when a device is no longer supported by iOS a lot of apps that get updated soon become incompatible with outdates iOS versions. Just seen a case today with an iPad Mini were literally no applications will work on it as it's so old, so could be something to keep in mind. There are some fantastic used and refurbished deals for newer devices and I'm sure in 2 years time you'd find a great deal on a 15 or 16!
Dude i plan wanna buy either iphone 12 pro max or iphone 13 for next year bc currently im using samsung so i might switch back to iphone😅 but i wonder how long the update gonna last?😮💨👍🏼✌🏼
By update do you mean iOS? If so I believe the iPhone 12 will be supported for 1 more year and maybe 2 years, I know the iPhone XR/XS/XS Max are still supported by iOS 18, they probably won't get supported with iOS 19, so I can say with how things are looking that the iPhone 12 might even get support up to iOS 20, which means you have another 2 years of full Apple software support/security updates with the iPhone 12, the iPhone 13 will give you another 3 years of full Apple software support/security updates. I do know that Samsung are improving on this front recently though, think some of their new phones have 5-7 years of software support which is amazing to see!
The XS Max was fantastic when it first released, think it was even the first iPhone with an OLED screen which was a massive deal for Apple back in 2018!
I was using iphone 6s till yesterday.... bought iphone 12 today... everything is great in ip12 but not the camera I liked my iphone 6s camera /photo quality more 😢 anyway loved the video❤
Interesting, I find the 12 to have great photos but one thing the 12 does a lot is overly process the images with the likes of high dynamic range which I believe the 6S didn't do as much. I was planning on making a video soon on iOS 18 settings to change + camera settings to change as well - you don't have to, but if you want to subscribe you'll be notified when that video comes out!
I’d say if you don’t feel limited by the phone then you could keep it for another few years - it’s still a solid phone, but if you feel the need to upgrade maybe wait til the SE4 releases sometime next year! Could be the next step forward for a lot of people on older iPhones or people wanting to try out the Apple ecosystem for very cheap.
As an iPhone 12 user, I’d say this Phone is not worth it. The 12 series suffers from terrible battery life, probably because it’s the first iPhone with 5G or something. I’d personally go for a iPhone 13 or higher.
I guess it comes down to price at the end of the day. I've seen a lot of iPhone 13's get priced around €150 more than the iPhone 12, at least where I live. The 13 has better battery life for sure, but other than that, the experience is much the same as the 12. For someone who isn't looking to spend much more than €200 for a phone, then the 12 is a great option, with the 13 getting priced in at around €350, at least where I live - I don't think that extra €150 quid is justifiable, it's a better phone of course, but for the price, I think the 12 is a better deal. The battery was fine for me until it went to around 80% battery health, but that was after a 4 year stint with the phone.
The iPhone 12 is the oldest I'd go for used iPhones. If you want a budget phone that'll last you 5 years an, iPhone 12 is basically the oldest you can get. The 12 Mini 64GB goes as low as $125 on eBay
Wow $125 for a 12 Mini is really good, but the battery on it doesn't last long I'm afraid, shame because I think the Mini's are a really cool form factor - would've loved to own one!
Yeah that's a very valid point. Some people might just want to get into the Apple ecosystem for cheap and might find an iPhone 12 for a really good price, then want to check a video out about it. I wouldn't say the iPhone 12 is a bad iPhone compared to the latest base iPhone models, in fact, I think it's a great alternative if you don't want to spend almost $799 for a new iPhone 16. But, compared to some Android device which now feature 120Hz for a fraction of the price and have better battery life, I would try to sway people more towards the likes of a Nothing 2A if they feel like they'd want to try out Android over iOS. But, if they don't want to go to Android then the iPhone 12 is still sufficient at a low price point in my honest opinion.
Definitely agree! Swappable batteries would be a game-changer in today's age like how they were back in the day. But obviously that would come with probably no resistance to water unfortunately.
I would still used my iphone 11 if back glass wasnt broken and if water didnt enter and shut it down for two weeks. I thought it was dead and bought new iphone 13. Next day 11 came back from the dead.
Wow that's crazy. I've fortunately never had the glass crack on my iPhones but can imagine the hassle it creates when it happens! Did you end up returning and refunding the 13 and keep the 11 or are you using the 13 now?
@@MrTitanFTW Np i use 13 now. 11 developed dark spot on low corner on the screen and it has broken glass with little hole. I taped bunch of electrical tape over cracked back and put it away. Its 5 years old phone. It was raining like crazy and i had to use phone with very wet hands, i didnt noticed little hole that opened on crack.
Great question, after doing some further research after the video I believe it will be. The iPhone XR and XS Max are still supported on the current version of iOS (iOS 18), and this will probably be the last year it is supported for those devices. The iPhone 11 will probably get iOS 19 as it's last major update, and that then leaves the iPhone 12 with getting iOS 20 as the last major update it will receive. Anything can change and Apple could make a decision for the iPhone 12 not to receive iOS 20, but how it looks currently it should!
@@4v25 Of course no problem at all. More than happy to give some insight when it's needed, I'll be making more tech videos soon and some relating to iPhones and iOS if you're interested!

There are some nice benefits to 5G, especially when I'm on my commute in the morning 4G just can't seem to keep up where with 5G it can, especially with my new phone I can run the whole day on 5G and not have to charge it once which is a luxury I knew I needed sooner, and yeah very true on the battery part - just a shame with Apple that they've increased their battery prices by about 100% since they first introduced the replacement batteries - but I guess that business (hopefully the EU will knock some sense into them haha)!
I might be able to get my hands on an iPhone 13 soon actually, and if I am able to get my hands on one I’ll definitely do a video about it. If you haven’t already make sure to sub and the video will pop up on your feed when it’s ready to go!

@@MrTitanFTW ok thank you so much for the recommendation I hope you make more vids like this in the future
@@MrTitanFTW ok thanks you so much
iphone 12 has the same notch size as the iphone 11 or xr or iphone x but if you buy the 13 you get a smaller notch size with a better camera. surely the iphone 12 is the second generation of night mode pictures but iphone 13 is a 3rd generation so it's way better
Yeah the 13 has much better battery than the 12 as well if I recall correctly. If you can get a 13 for more or less the same price as the 12 then it would have my recommendation, both fantastic phones.
underrated
For phone comparisons I usually use a site called GSM Arena, here is a link comparing the iPhone 13 PM to the 14 Plus (it has the size of the phones too): www.gsmarena.com/compare.php3?idPhone1=11089&idPhone2=11862
For phone cases I usually get mine on Amazon or AliExpress, the case I have on my 15 PM currently is from a company called Spigen but there are other brand like JETech who are pretty good too and a little more affordable, here is a case I'd recommend for the 13 PM: amzn.to/3Ut8kub (this is an affiliate link, but let me know if you want a standard one and I can send one one onto you!)
As for buying phones I would recommend Amazon, and I would also recommend both of these sites to check the price history of items on every Amazon site: camelcamelcamel.com/ + www.hagglezon.com/
Although if you can't find a good refurbished or used iPhone 13 PM on Amazon I would also recommend Swappie (it's where I got my 15 PM from): swappie.com/ie/iphone/iphone-13-pro-max/iphone-13-pro-max-256gb-gold-2/
@@MrTitanFTW alright thank you so much mr reliable ill open the links and see what i can find 😄
Crazy you managed to get to 72% battery health, my 12 became so slow once it went below 80%!
heard there's several problems w the 16 pro,but idk if they're true.
@@tiny_LittleBananaGuy402 Nah so far no issue for my iPhone 16 pro 1 tb or maybe i haven’t experienced it yet
@@dtprogamer2365 oh ok,wow you responded fast lol
@@MrTitanFTW Honestly when my iPhone 12 reached 78% battery health it become slow but it didn’t really affect me and wasn’t really noticeable for me. I upgraded to the 1tb storage space on the 16 pro so that i don’t ever have to worry about space again, is that too much 🫢.
So titan whats your final verdict 13 pro max or 14 plus
I would personally go with the 13 Pro Max for the better cameras and higher refresh rate. I even think the 13 Pro Max is cheaper on the used and refurbished market than the 14 Plus at the moment which is a massive plus. In addition to that, I don't believe the value of the 13 Pro Max will fall much lower so if you do end up selling your 13 Pro Max in a few years you will probably get the majority of your money back 👍
ok can you check my other comment
Watching this video on an iPhone base model 12, which I have been using since December 2020. Still does the job perfectly fine. So, I won’t be upgrading it any time soon
I'm glad to hear! It was a shame that my 12 started to go down hill in performance after the battery health dropped below 80% but I am planning on getting it replaced soon for a family member to have - still a fantastic phone in a great form factor.
Battery health still on 83%. Getting close to that 80% mark. Will see how it performs after that. Thank you for the reply
Does iphone can turn on flashlight when using ultrawide camera?😮🤔
Yes it can indeed, you can have the flashlight on when even using the Ultrawide Camera!
Should I get iphone13 pro max or 14 plus?
I'd personally recommend the 13 Pro Max if you want a higher refresh rate display and better cameras. However, if battery life is of a concern, the 14 Plus is amazing for that!
@@MrTitanFTWthank u so much for the recommendation
I went to a 15 PM and almost haven’t looked back, the only thing I preferred was the smaller form factor but I had to sacrifice that as I wanted a bigger battery.
great video! how did you take that photo in 7:23 tho? was there a filter?
Thank you much appreciated. For 7:23 there is a LUT layered on top of the photo but it was one I used throughout my video. The LUT is called Teal and Orange and I believe I got it from this video: ruclips.net/video/8H2v0PISuZQ/видео.htmlsi=9iqs0goz7HtQJ_js
I own a 13 pro max and it’s the best iPhone apple ever made and never change
I would definitely agree and say the 13 PM is one of the best Apple has made especially with it being the first iPhone to introduce the 120Hz ProMotion Display!
Ppl in my country (🇧🇷) still buy iPhone Xs and 8s as their main phone, so yeah, the iPhone 12 is definitely worth it 😂😂
Yup it’s still a fantastic phone, and I’d say a lot of people in Brazil might even be looking at the SE4 when that releases as a possible upgrade depending on the price - hoping it’s affordable like the previous SE devices!
Can you suggest me how to take better photos in ip12 please ?🙏😭
Can I ask what you feel is lacking in the iPhone 12's cameras at the moment? Let me know and I can guide you on what you can do to possibly improve the quality of photos!
The pictures are looking artificial and processing too much which isn't looking good!
also in low light area in the morning the pictures are not clear, shady and blurry
what to do!?😢plz help🙏
I will not upgrade still 2027 but I want to say that my manager still using the iPhone 5 S. That old man been winning a lot but he won’t change his phone anytime soon 😂
Using an iPhone 5S in 2024 is crazy. But if it gets the job done then I can only commend him haha!
@ yes, that man is a savage in real life 😂
I’ve been using my iPhone 12 for 1 and half years and it’s a great phone other then the battery😁
Yeah it's still a great phone, glad you're still enjoying it!
defo a good option still, but I couldn't live without a high refresh rate
For sure, I'm the same myself. Going from 60Hz to 120Hz is a game changer and makes everything muchhh smoother.
Iphone 13 pro 😮
What about the 12 pro
Ah I would love to, but unfortunately I don't own a 12 Pro at the moment. I'll ask around a few of the people I know and see if I can borrow their device for a video!
I have 12 pro. It’s still solid as long as the battery is over 80 percent.
@@PackinStackin The 12 Pro is still a super solid phone - just a shame it doesn't have a 120Hz screen!
I would go with an iPhone 12 Pro if would buy a second hande device. 6 gb of RAM rocks!
Should I upgrade in 2 years from my 12
So from a security standpoint and also from a compatibility stand point I would if you can! One thing that sorely gets missed is when a device is no longer supported by iOS a lot of apps that get updated soon become incompatible with outdates iOS versions. Just seen a case today with an iPad Mini were literally no applications will work on it as it's so old, so could be something to keep in mind. There are some fantastic used and refurbished deals for newer devices and I'm sure in 2 years time you'd find a great deal on a 15 or 16!
iPhone 12 Pro Max still working great
I'm glad to hear. Looking back, if I had the 12PM over the 12 I probably would've waited another year for an upgrade!
*Me watching this video on an XS Max... (best phone ever created fr)
The XS Max was fantastic when it first released, think it was even the first iPhone with an OLED screen which was a massive deal for Apple back in 2018!
I’m using an iPhone 8
Crazy how the iPhone 8 is now 7 years old 🤯

The iPhone 13 is still a fantastic phone, are you thinking of upgrading anytime soon?
@ hopefully, yeah

Amazing! Did you get the battery replaced on the iPhone 8 Plus recently? Sure it runs like brand new now that you did.
I was using iphone 6s till yesterday.... bought iphone 12 today... everything is great in ip12 but not the camera
I liked my iphone 6s camera /photo quality more 😢
anyway loved the video❤
Interesting, I find the 12 to have great photos but one thing the 12 does a lot is overly process the images with the likes of high dynamic range which I believe the 6S didn't do as much. I was planning on making a video soon on iOS 18 settings to change + camera settings to change as well - you don't have to, but if you want to subscribe you'll be notified when that video comes out!

2024 is almost over. Is the iphone 12 worth buying in 2025? That's the big question😊
Haha you know it! It’ll be interesting to see how it stacks up against the SE4 when that releases.
Give me I phone 12 😢
Wish I could! But I’ve already promised that I’m going to be sticking a new battery in it and giving it to a family member!
I’ve been using the iPhone 12 for two years
I’d say if you don’t feel limited by the phone then you could keep it for another few years - it’s still a solid phone, but if you feel the need to upgrade maybe wait til the SE4 releases sometime next year!
@@MrTitanFTW Yeah, and 64GB of storage is tiny for 2024 soon to be 2025 file sizes
I dont get why so much people have this old 60Hz phone with crappy battery... I just dont get this
Yeah that's a very valid point. But, if they don't want to go to Android then the iPhone 12 is still sufficient at a low price point in my honest opinion.
if only batteries are interchangeable busy people will not be forced buy new phones more often
Is the iPhone 12 gonna be still supported till the end of 2026
Great question, after doing some further research after the video I believe it will be.
@MrTitanFTW Mr.Titan..... You're the absulote greatest guy I love you bro thanks for researching and replying.

@@chanchan3618 I actually wanted to get the Mini over the 12 when they first released but opted against it last minute. I don't have one on me but I'll try get my hands on one to do a video!
1. Always disabled 5G, it's a battery hog and 4G is fast enough
2. Replace your battery every 2 years. They aren't made to last longer than that.
