Wow, this is a great video! I've driven this trip from Chicago to Philadelphia before... not bad other than the toll stops along the way. I like Pittsburgh and driving through there, but the roads are a complete clusterfuck and it looks like you got there during rush hour, making it even worse. I have taken more than a few business trips to some of these cities (Cleveland and Pittsburgh mostly) and it was nice to see this video - thanks for posting it!
I remember the Pennsylvania Turnpike. I lived near Philadelphia in Wilmington, De when I was a young kid and took this route to and from Cleveland, Oh 35+ years ago. I remember those tunnels too, 1:00:02, 1:05:21, 1:06:15 and 1:06:21. I took this route when I went to Atlantic City, NJ back in '98.
My parents drove 323 miles from beaver pa to us 1 exit And when they drove they spent over $151 to get home but I don’t care because Ohio is more expensive
Thank you for the time laps trip through all of the states between WI to Philadelphia and i loved the music choices but i think it would be a little better if you had the music from all the areas you passed through. if i would do a trip like this i would find a music group from that area and use that group. but that is me
I'd estimate the Central to Eastern time zone change would be around the 15 minute mark, on this video. Since you cross into eastern time, just before you hit South Bend. The point where you first hit eastern time is when you cross from LaPorte County, IN to Saint Joseph County, which includes South Bend.
@@BoratWanksta the Porter-(Michigan City) - St. Joseph (South Bend) county line. Does anyone realize that between the LaPorte exit and Toledo, the Indiana Toll Road and Ohio Turnpike are never more than ten miles from the Michigan State Line? Going west on the Indiana Toll Road at Exit 121 one can easily see "Welcome to Michigan" signs.
@@paulbrower4265 That was a typo, where I forgot to type out that it was the LaPorte County/Saint Joseph County line. But yes, that is where I meant to say you cross from Central to Eastern time.
It was especially annoying in Wisconsin. Good thing they finished up most of that construction but they added more projects in the Milwaukee metro area :/
Thank you for making a video of drives on some highways that are sheer drudgery for a driver or passenger -- the Tri-State Tollway, the urban Hell that is northwestern Indiana, and the mostly-monotonous stretch of what John Steinbeck identified as "US 80-90" between Greater Chicago and Greater Cleveland. 80/94 as I recall last had signs for "(human) body removal", "Insane (I forget the name) Discount Fireworks", and strip clubs. Oh, by the way -- the section of I-80 just west of I-94 is still part of the Illinois Tollway.
Same here on 6-13-14 on my way to the Duck Tape Festival in Avon OH held every fathers day weekend. Since I live around Milwaukee my slef I drove this myself until just shortly after the I-90 split from the turnpike.
Kinda roundabout way to go from Milwaukee to Philly... diverting onto I-90 and Cleveland, and likely using 376 to go through Pittsburgh. I take it the portions where you make stops for gas and whatever are edited out, so they are hardly noticed.
In another video she did, you can see a point where she stopped for gas in southern Georgia between Macon and Valdosta. Also in another driving vid, I recall the vid footage showed her stop for gas around Evansville, IN. I'd be surprised if that wasn't seen in this video(wherever she made a gas station stop), myself.
