Koreatown is a neighborhood located in central Los Angeles, California and spans over 150 city blocks of area. Koreatown Plaza is an iconic shopping mall in the center of Koreatown and was built in 1988.
In the early 1900's, Korean immigrants started migrating to the Los Angeles area, creating pockets of communities that would later become Koreatown. Today's population in Koreatown consists of half Latino and a third are Asian.
The mixture of Latino and Korean population in the area have sparked a combination of cultures including fusions in food, most notably Korean inspired taco trucks and restaurants of classic Mexican food with Korean ingredients.

When I´m in LA I stay at the Hotel across the street. It´s not the Ritz Carlton, but I like that it´s close to shopping. I´m going to Japan for 2 weeks straight, and I like to stay in K-Town on the way back. Everything I want or need is pretty much right there. H Mart is awesome. It´s perfect for getting food and drinks, before I Amtrak it back to the Midwest. All I really want to do there is eat.

This Koreatown looks beautiful. But I don't know a lick of Korean, the only word in Korean that I know is "안녕하세요" which means Hello and that's it.
