This is my Warlord Titan: the most expensive miniature ever produced by Games Workshop. Standing an impressive 2 feet tall, it even comes with a certificate of authenticity. I’m MiniWarGamer Dave, and I’m proud to have one in my collection of Warhammer miniatures. A few years ago, Nathaniel Taylor painstakingly assembled this model for me. Though he has since passed on, I’m dedicating this video to him in his honor. But before we dive into that, for those who are new to the Warhammer 40,000 universe, let’s discover the lore behind the Warlord Titan. Nate, this one’s for you, brother.

Shoutout to @MidwinterMinis for their epic Warlord Titan project series and all the build videos they've posted over the years. Watch each episode on their Warlord Titan playlist here: • WARLORD TITAN unboxing...

Warlord Titan Lore:
Welcome to the universe of Warhammer 40,000-a dystopian galaxy consumed by endless conflict. At the heart of humanity's struggle stands the Emperor of Mankind, an immortal being of immense psychic power. Though physically bound to the Golden Throne on Terra, his will guides the Imperium, a vast empire spanning millions of worlds.
The Emperor's greatest creations were the Primarchs-twenty superhuman demigods engineered to lead his legions. Scattered across the stars by dark forces, their tales of heroism and betrayal have shaped the fate of the galaxy.
From this backdrop emerges the Warlord Titan-a titan of titans, a walking fortress of unrivaled power. Born in the sacred forges of the Adeptus Mechanicus, these behemoths are crafted over decades, even centuries. Each one is a masterpiece of forgotten technologies and arcane rituals.
The Adeptus Mechanicus, guardians of ancient knowledge, build and maintain these giants. They view technology as sacred, intertwining machinery with mysticism. A Warlord Titan's crew comprises dozens, including the Princeps, Moderati, Tech-Priests, and servitors-all working in unison to awaken the metal giant.
At the heart of every Titan lies its Machine Spirit-a sentient essence that breathes life into steel. Think of it as the soul of the machine, a consciousness that can aid or hinder its operators. The Machine Spirit must be revered and appeased, for it holds the power to enhance the Titan's capabilities or resist the commands of its crew. Commanding this mechanical colossus is the Princeps, the chief pilot who shares a symbiotic bond with the Titan. Through neural links, the Princeps feels what the Titan feels, seeing the battlefield through its sensors. This connection is intense-melding man and machine into one. The Princeps must assert control over the Machine Spirit, guiding its immense power with human intuition and strategy.
The Warlord Titan is a cornerstone of the Imperium's might, deployed by the Titan Legions of the Collegia Titanica. These Legions are allied with various forge worlds, each with its own heraldry and traditions. However, not all Titans serve the Emperor. Some have fallen into the hands of Chaos, corrupted and twisted to fight against their former allies.
As a unit, the Warlord Titan is unmatched-a siege engine capable of leveling entire cities. Its arsenal includes plasma annihilators, laser blasters, and missile launchers. Yet, its strengths are balanced by weaknesses. The Titan's massive size makes it a prominent target. It requires vast resources and support to maintain and deploy. To allies, it is a symbol of hope and dominance; to enemies, a harbinger of destruction.
In our world, the Warlord Titan model is a testament to craftsmanship. Originally designed by Forge World, a division of Games Workshop, the model is crafted from high-quality resin. Each piece is intricately detailed, capturing the grandeur of the Titan on a smaller scale. Hobbyists assemble and paint these models, investing hours to bring them to life. Due to the model's complexity and the value of genuine craftsmanship, each Warlord Titan model comes with a certificate of authenticity. This ensures collectors receive an original piece, maintaining the integrity and value of these remarkable creations.
The Warlord Titan is more than a war machine; it's a symbol-a fusion of human ambition and technological might. In the endless wars of the 41st millennium, it stands as a towering reminder of humanity's quest for survival and supremacy. Whether on the tabletop or in the lore, the Warlord Titan captivates our imagination, embodying the epic scale of Warhammer 40,000.

He seemed like a great dude, and a great artist. It is an honour to have a piece of his work.
"In the silence of the battlefield, the echoes of our fallen brothers remind us that true strength lies not in the victories won, but in the love and sacrifice shared. Their courage fuels our resolve, and though they may be gone, their spirit will forever guide us through the darkness..." Rest well Brother Nate.
Love it how this hobby brings people together. For the Emperor, for the Dark Gods, for Nate!
WTF WHY ARE MY EYES COMMITING HERESY 😭 RIP Nate. May you live on through the lives you touched and the lives your Titans extinguish.
Grown arse dude here tearing up over my coffee. Tribute well done.
A beauty of a God Engine! Love the airbrushed details of the trapped souls and skulls, amazing looking. The Lucius Head has fast become my favourite of the three head designs, gives a brutal visage - my DakkaLord (Mega Gats and Gats up top) will have that head, two others have the Mars Beta (Spartan) head and only one has the original Mars-Alpha… yes I’m a Titan addict, and part of Titan Owners Club so have multiple titans we actually get to game with at massive Titan Walk events. Nate Walks! Now make Nate’s name into pseudo High Gothic and you have a fitting God Engine name for Walking the battlefields of the 41st Millennium. RIP Nate the painting Titan!
The personal stories are the best part-
Again, an excellent video.
Nate the Great
I love this.
Damn Dave, made me cry too brotha. I hope you're watching this Nate.
Damn, the World has lost a very talented man indeed........ I hope he is in a place now where models don't have big moldlines and the dice rolls are always what he needs them to be........
Commenting for the algorithm. But also because this is a great video. I really like this format. Lore and model in one place
Thank you. It’s working for me and a joy to crate.
Just amazing, its beautiful
God, prepping the titan is like caring for a baby. A big chaotic baby.
What a wonderful tribute
Thank you !
Wow, such a power tribute and a wonderful story. Thank you for sharing it with us.
I've watched this video three times. And each time, I shed a few tears.
Dave, thank you for sharing this video with us all. Thank you for allowing us to share a moment with you in honoring Nate and memorializing his memory in the Warlord Titan. Suffice it to say, I believe that Nate's spirit is now that of the Warlord Titan's.
Stay awesome brother Dave!
OMG his passing makes that titan Worth Even More For his memory Rest in peace Pal good job on the titan
I can't thank you enough for sharing this. You brought me to tears with your kind words. You are an amazing person and I love your stuff.
2 videos in a row I've heard "20 Primarchs" and I'm just waiting for the Inquisition to bust through the door.
Should do a video on the Primarchs? I have almost all of them in my studio.
@@MWG_Dave Yes, please do!
Do I want a warlord? Yes. But I won’t spend anywhere near that.
However if they turn the titanicus Warlord Sinister titan into a 40k model…. I’m taking out a loan.
(Beautiful paint job, he left a legacy in that piece alone)
All you need is the head and it’s extra cables, the gun, and the shield grid for its back, all of which can be printed. There are excellent files with improved detail on the gun and even a spot for one of the psyker batteries in the cockpit.
Thanks Dave, now I'm crying for the first time in a while.
I really loved the video. R.I.P. Nate
Nate sounds like a wonderful guy. May he rest in piece. Im glad his legacy can live on through the warlord, the pinnacle of what he loved!
Very cool tribute to your artist. We need more of that in this hobby.
I think that is one of the most badass Warlord titans I've ever seen. It's too bad you didn't get the chance to share a pint (or two) with Nate.
Great video Dave. Truly a great video. Thank you
Damn that Made me want a warlord Titan, Damn He will forever live on with you in that titan. Also why do I find myself suddenly being over whelmed with a sadness. Love your stuff Take care man.
Love this kind of videos
I'm Not Crying, You're Crying
No tears today. That’s for after tomorrow’s battle. Today we raise our Chainaxes and cleave for the collection of skulls! ❤
Look amazing brother
Rest easy, Nate. 🥲

Amazing video, back ground and story behind the the model
Great videos
Epic
Thanks!
only in death does duty end.
Can't tell if you had to wait 6 months due to Nate's business issues or not - it's unclear, but it's irrelevant if you got what you wanted from a top guy - RIP Nate and great tribute video.
❤ Impressive work.
I recently saw a picture of a custom titan of the Emperor's children. Instead of conventional weapons, he had four demonic Noise weapons, noise destruction. 😮🎉
Very cool
Comments for the algorithm god! Likes for the scroll throne!
When legends meet. Rest in power, Nate. 😢
I HAVE A CHAOS SCOUT WARLORD TITAN,HAVE YET TO PAINT IT?IT IS CURENTLY COLECTING DUSTBUNNIES!
he gets the height and size of the astartes correct, they are 9' tall 450 lbs roughly
I think your subscribe arrow is upside down
As long as you smashed it it doesn’t matter 😉. But I did it thinking of the RUclips card I put in the video.
the manta is actually more expensive. too bad, no more forge world. resellers are probably shouting for joy.
The skulls really undermine this whole effort. Pretty whack color scheme. Looks like hotwheels
Do… d…. Do you even warhammer bro?!?
Those aren’t edgy skull decals. Chaos titans are corrupted, those are growing through the armor, eventually it will be covered in faces, skulls and skin the longer it’s in the warp.
This one is freshly corrupted.
