- Kai Hahto plays Wintersun's Beyond The Dark Sun at a Pearl clinic 13th of May in 2008. Filmed and edited by Aaro Lappalainen.
Apparently RUclips's encoding likes to screw up the aspect ratio in wmv-files (it worked fine in Windows Media Player, I swear!). Oh well, you live and learn.

Man, if anything im really impressed by his stick height. he doesnt keep that height for battle against time or something does he?
Damn he only uses his wrists when blasting. That's pretty nicely done since most people use flying fingers.
Love the polyrhythmic accents on the hi hat, but why a two footed blast at such a slow tempo? Surprised.
His overall playing is very fast and if you have to play like that for more than an hour then it's more comfortable to strain both legs with the same amount. Over long time its more powerful.

I think it's fucking ridiculous that he is left handed yet he learned how to play right handed.
I was really getting worried about not having Jukka on the new album and tour. I am worried no longer. Kai is really freakin' good. I do hope Jukka returns to good health and rejoins the band someday. But in the meantime Nightwish seem to be in very capable hands. The main thing I miss, however, from Jukka is his body movements and head bobbing. Kai is a lot more composed but with Floor and everyone else in front of him it shouldn't be a big problem.

The reason his blasts with his left hand are so good is because he is left handed lol

gonadiator not offended at all, never knew who Alex Rudinger was till now. He is pretty solid drummer.
