    Kids will love this. There’s a lot of animals out there. Maybe an Australia animal expansion?

    I watched Tom's review of this a while back and thought "what is the appeal? Why is this fun?", but after watching your review, I'm thinking "why DIDNT this appeal to me before?" Thanks for taking the time to review this older game Sam :)

      Dave Koehnlein agree. Feel the same when Tom explain some games. Doesn't look like fun, but then I watch other people review it and it looks and feels better :-P

    One of my favorites. In my top 10 of all time and has some of my favorite tension in any game.

    Thanks for reviewing some of the older staples, Sam. What is your opinion on the dice version?

      +Chris Duggan Have not played the dice version...so I don't have one.

      +Chris Duggan Very fun too! And Fast!

      I haven't played the bigger game, but i have played the dice version a ton (on yucata.de). It's simplified and fast, but still uses this, praised by Tom, mechanism "i split, you choose" kind of. But i like it only with 2 players. It provides more space for tactics and mind games. With more players it becomes too chaotic.

    Good review!
    How would you compare this to Coloretto and Aquaretto?

      +Kārlis Jēriņš I've actually never played Coloretto, but I like this a bit more than Aquaretto. Mainly, I think, because it seems less contrived than Aquaretto did...Aquaretto seemed a bot clunky, and Zooloretto more solid.

      +Kārlis Jēriņš Coloretto is a similar concept but as a card game. It is alright, my parents love it when I bring it over. You get punished if you take more than three types of colors and more of the same stacks points. All of the cards are chameleons in different colors... hence coloretto, lol.

      +Brogan Trull On your turn you have two choices add a card to the row (rows based on the number of players) or take a row and add it to your collection. That is it! There are some wild cards and plus one point cards to keep it interesting but you get similar tension as you would here in Zooloretto loading the trucks

    Do you have to have permission to purchase an animal from someone else barn?

      @akahoshirezosama 9 лет назад +1

      +Ranerdar No, you don't need permission.
      In fact, the rules state that the player you purchase from has no way of stopping you.
      As long as you have the money, and an action, any animal in a players barn is, pardon the pun, fair game.
