okay, so I was trying to figure out which anime this was because I was interested in the plot. Then, after finding out its over 52 anime's in one video((and having a holy shit what am i suppose to do now moment)), i went on my search to find out which one had the girl doing the art. After exploring around for a bit, i came to find that the girl is from "Chihayafuru" and the anime has nothing to do with art. XD
you're not exactly right. chihayafuru is about karuta and karuta is also a kind of art. it may has nothing to do with painting but it is still awesome. you should try watching it then you'll understand what i mean :)

I just realized. To people who don't make AMVs or people who watch little anime, this AMV would be very normal but to the ppl who make AMV, this is a godly production.
If you think this is amazing, try searching for the one based on a mix between Hyouka and K-On. The video is 3 min long, and I've spent 1 hour figuring out it's not an anime, but a collage.
no matter how man amv´s i have seen, this is still one of the best. puting so many anime scenes together that it look like 1 anime is just insane work

yeah that editing was ridiculous, i was thinking the whole time, i know this chick, she doesn't draw, she plays cards, I was blown away that for most of the video i was thinking that there must be another anime where a lookalike girl draws, but at the end i saw the part where she's running by the boy on the bike witch is right out of the card anime and thought - no way, they must have edited this all, on a level I haven't seen before.

+AnnaZeichnet I thought I was the only one. Too epic. The artwork of Chihayafuru is so epic. Great character design. It got like an 8.5 rating so I'm going to watch it. Haven't finished Barakuman (maybe wrong spelling)... there was also 52 anime included in the production of this AMV which is stunning. I also found the zoom distortion at the festival quite nuts.

i'm still floored by the quality of this amv. everything's flawless and the song is incredible. i watched it when it had just come out and i still adore it now, in my 30s.
I was half-way through the video thinking, "This is a damn good AMV," when I realized Chihayafuru has nothing to do with manga or drawing!

i'm guessing the editing was similar to what umika did with steel fenders, where she shaded, altered, and even animated additional things into the scenes to paint her own story.
To paint a living image as it passes by that is the goal of a artist
this editing was breathtaking.. never tougth is more then one anime... it was incredibly fluid.. well done!!
When you mix like 50 anime into an awesome music video with a coherent narrative, it makes me wish that the champloo anime trailer you made was real.

+CrinusAkera Actually, first time I saw this AMV, I thought it was only one anime (Oremonogatari I think), after taht (almost like 6 months after) I saw Chihayafuru, and then TODAY, I say this AMV on recomendation (without knowing I had actually seen this before) and was like: OMG chihayafuro, lol I tho' it was only 1 anime back then! XDD :V

Wow. Blew my mind away. I'm familiar with both of the main anime used, so when I saw it meshed together into this masterpiece (along with a long list of other anime clips) I was just speechless. I don't think I blinked when watching this.
I really liked the concept of a girl meeting a boy through her drawings, but at least they are an official couple (I think?) in the real anime. I've seen this type of AMVs with made up stories before, but the couple there didn't even exist, they were from different animes, and it was so sad and heartbreaking

Just two words... ABSOLUTELY AMAZING! I think it's one of the bests (or maybe the best) amv that I've ever seen. The way thay you mixed all of those animes to create a beautiful story is great. And the effects and editing are so good that you think that it's only one anime! I simply love it =)
Ma peeps, Chihayafuru ain't the only anime here. (Why am I talking like this) There are like, more than 50 animes here. Chihaya never draws; the other guy (Hattori?) is from (Bakuman?) another anime. OH! And I recognised another anime!!!!!! Kamisama...something. The anime where the girl finds a shrine with a fox demon in it? Yeah. It's the bit with the...swirly painting or whatever. (Pfft I'm great at explaining things)
Anyway, THIS IS AWESOME! I can only recognise about 4 animes, but the way it's all blended together...amazing!

After all... Its like table salt, You have to take two very poisonous objects that aren't acceptable to us for eating, and put them together for them to be edible at all....

BRO, YOU HAVE NO IDEA HOW MUCH RESEARCH I HAD TO DO JUST TO FIND THIS AGAIN!! OMG this song just suddenly popped into my head and I didnt know they lyrics (I knew the theme but couldn't figure out the words) so then I had to go through so many animes, (I was typing in shit like "anime where the drawing comes to life" lol) but then finally, I found the anime called "Chihayafuru" (I remembered it started with a Ch...yea cause thats helpful) and I was like YESSS THATS IT!!! Then, I looked up AMV's for that but none of the thumb-nails were what I remembered (vaguely), so I added "multi" and this was the first one to pop up. I'm so happy. I've missed this so much. It's been a few years but I'm glad i've returned
I watched this years ago cos i thought it was a drawing anime but realized that it wasnt when i saw the scene where arata "comes to life" as a drawing and omg i was so annoyed but chihayafuru is amazing.

for the people who are still confused.. this music vid is made up different animes.. the two that show up the most are Chihayafuru (the pretty girl) and Bakuman (the ugly guy with weird lips). Both are completely different, Chihayafuru is about a card game and Bakuman is about two guys trying to become manga artist/writer.. They did a fantastic job editing! if i hadn't watched these two i would have been utterly confused..

Absolutely amazing, as well as the zoom effects at the festival, among other parts those were the most amazing and effective in my opinion.

I was another one of those people who watched this and was confused at how it was edited. I've even seen Chihayafuru (Chihaya being the main girl in this video) and I still didn't clock that this was edited quite so heavily. It looks incredible. I wish this anime existed it looks super cool.

This is a masterpiece beyond words ... The credits say 52 series where used and while i do find it hard to believe, the info has a link to its making showing how some frames where layered together, so a single frame, a single moment of this epic video may have being taken from many series and melded so masterfully that has left me speechless ...

Yeah and it looks like only one story because creator changed frames from others to make it look like it. Pretty impressive but it may confuse somebody that is here because he was just browsing YT.
