I love this model, I think they should do the pre-order model more often, get the numbers via the pre-order, produce that many (maybe a FEW extras for replacements, etc.), and be done with it. I think it's a very unique reason to make a Pop and the fact that it's for charity makes it even better! As far as the price goes, it comes in a hard stack like the art series usually do, I think it's all a really great way to do things with viral moments, such as the Kelce celebration and I hope they do more things like it!
The Kelce’s are probably two of the top 4-5 most popular players in the NFL. Their podcast is huge. I don’t blame Funko on this. They are going to get a lot of people buying this that maybe normally would not.

Now honestly, it wasn't initially at the onset of your video, but i think it was towards the end, when You mentioned, ' is Funko really listening to their constituents, or fans ' .... .. And just sat back for a quick second and thought about The Man, Jason Kelce. ...& Just THAT MOMENT in the game when his brother scored in the end zone, and the camera panned to Him celebrating Travis's TD. .. it was the sheer PASSION you could feel , ironically not so much FOR Travis, but for Jason. ..Jason, whos had the hall-of-fame career .. Jason, who just got bounced from the playoffs, but still CHEERING on for His brother, as if Hes also in the game. Jason, who's story and life off the field has been illuminated so much, and what we've found is such a rugged dude; and a man with a Love for his family and a passion notwithstanding. Thats why that 'moment' matters to an audience.. because that one moment epitomizes who Jason Kelce is. And i think, the Taylor Swift/Travis Kelce thing kinda fails in comparison to that... This time it's not about Travis and Taylor Swift. This time it's for the fans of Jason Kelce, who love him not only for the great player he is, but also for what a big heart he has. A big care bear. And this Funko Pop is about the passion with which he expressed his love for his brother. For me personally, this release was a dream come true! :)
I get where you are coming from, the thing is it was the point of the moment. Why people grabbed at it when it really wasn't about Taylor swift, it was about he was there with passion for his brother. He is done and will go into the Hall of Fame, and finally after a while got to let loose. The paintings from fans of that, it embodies that, and I think in a small way, even as a lifelong Lions fan, its the energy that you get from something and someone you love.
I do not see the connect to Taylor Swift with this. From my perspective, Jason hung out with the Bills Mafia tailgate before the game. The Bills fans were actually enjoying him. He was cool and even helped a little girl Bills / Taylor Swift fan get a look at Taylor to wave to her. The mafia is crazy and I felt he was encompassing the energy of the fans and what it's like to be at a Bills game but, for his brother and the Chiefs. The Pop proceeds are for the Patrica Allen Fund for the Oishei Children's Hospital here in Buffalo. And, for me the weird part is as a Bills fan do I want this?! Lol. It is awesome for the charity don't get me wrong but it's also a huge reminder of a huge disappointing day for us. Like am I going to buy this and put it with my Allen and Diggs Pops?! Ummm, no, I'm not. But, it's funny and I liked him. And appreciated his energy.

I agree with a lot of what you said but I did buy this pop because its a really strange pop and I like the weird stuff. Is he retiring? If so this might be the only pop that comes out of him so fans might want to pick one up.
I think funko has long tried to get the Taylor swift license but like trying to secure Beyoncé it may be a futile act or the license maybe to expensive.
