I’d like to think these traits are more due to the life experiences than it should be generalisations of groups of people. GenZs are still schooling but millennials are working. Hence the “individualistic” trait of GenZ vs the collaborative approach of Millennials. Give the GenZs a few more years of work experience. Their “traits” will change. In the comments section you already get some GenZs identifying with millennials.
I’m a millennial myself who used to have a genZ attitude. I chose my work because it pays acceptably. I used to be individualistic. Or want a partner who has the looks and I didn’t care for the personality. But slowly by grace, learnt to work with people especially those who are different from me.
All of us GenZ and millennials will one day come to the fullness of life and learn what it means to be a human
Most are raised spoilt brats bcos their parents are overcompensating for their own shitty childhood.
Individualistic is just a nicer term for self entitled....
And the care for environment thing is just jumping on bandwagon. Their generation and beyond have been leaving rubbish under void decks and lepak area.

Am i the only one who knows that 1997-1999 babies are gen z but don't consider them as one?
Millennials can go from 1980-1981 to 1995-2001. It really depends, but I 100% agree. A generation should be at least 20 years. 90s Gen Zs even ACT like Millennials and many don`t even know that they are Gen Z. They don`t even blend in with the other Gen Zs.
I thought I was a Millennial because older people kept call me that for so long. My amazing, 12th grade, Millennial, drivers Ed teacher had to tell us we weren`t one XD! We were disappointed at first. With me being Gen Z, that makes me one of the older ones... the first wave to grow old first one terrible day. :(
At one point, my mom and I thought we shared the same Generation! she is from 1980, my father is 1 years older, and I am from the year 2000! We used to joked about her being one of the first Millennial, Dad being one of the last Gen Xers, and I being one of the last Millennials. It was actually kind of cute :3. She still thinks I`m a Millennial, much to my father`s dismay XD! She will hit 40 this mouth and I will hit 20. I love our age range, its perfect. I can`t image having boomer parents or 70s kids Gen Xers XD
P.S Its even weirder that Gen Alpha was already out before 2020! This makes no sense! They should be born at 2020 or 2021... Who comes up with these arbitrary numbers?

I'm a 1999 kid but I don't relate to these 2 at all.... and I do love collaborative effort too LOL and call-out culture isn't that strong in my social circle.

Was born in 2000! Young Millennials and older Gen Zs are literally the same in my eyes XD! all 90s children are sometimes put in with the rest of Gen-Ys. Also, 20 Millennials, 30 Millennials,... and now 40s Millennials, have a different culture as well. Millennials are the largest group by far and are the most diverse. 20 something Millennials are actually during pretty well in life, too...

k so right this zoomer (2003) is working and has worked for about 2 years+ before Os I worked for pocket money lah but now that I’ve spent a couple months working in an office setting and seen and heard a bunch of stuff I see the lines blur between zoomers and millennials. The intention is still the same, where the zoomers and millennials both mean well but the approach to action is v different lah... millennials a bit more practical and zoomers more dreamers lor. Coz millennials experience pain before and zoomers only see potential issues. Zoomers still have time to mature and I just hope that we don’t continue to have such self-serving tunnel vision and learn to see the truly bigger picture and have genuine care and concern for other tangible people ya

12:00 I disagree... many millenials grew up with shows and news about the environment and conserving it. A lot of us have grown up with knowledge of the issues happening to our environment and many of us studied and searched ways to combat these issues. Gen z just want some fake rage and jumped the environment bandwagon.

Actually gen z is 1997-2012, they usually coin the terms based on major happenings and trends. Like gen x is with the transition in technology from computers etc, gen y(millennials) is from the rise in internet and social media as well as major tough events like the Great Recession and 9/11 I think even SARs for asian countries which was a recession too, gen z is from the rise of smartphones (hence also social media) but a generation who learns from observing because we've never lived through a major struggle like wars or financial downturns (unless you count this pandemic that's likely to become worse lol) but because our parents are mostly Gen X, we still know a lot from their struggles. So if you identify more with Millenials it's because you're still young so only have a small focus hence perspective. For a young student, it's very easy for millenials and gen z to be similar since they're both categorised partly by technological change. You'll definitely feel the difference in university or at work though haha.

Actually genz is 1997-2012 (every generation is categorised by a major shift eg. Rise in technology, Great financial problems etc) Leah's information isn't super accurate but is the more accepted age
