Its just the way it is, its all about money for the care takers of the various sports. For sports like tennis its already an individual game so there wont be a clash with the need to focus on the team instead of the individual like with football or basketball for example. All the great individuals that have played in team sports wont have won anything without being along side other great players.

Spain were massive favourites in 2012 and never looked like they wouldn't win that year! Okay, they went to penalties against Portugal, but they outplayed them and stifled CR7. Their performance against Italy for me is the greatest performance I've ever seen in any final. For pure quality, the current Spain team aren't on the same level as Spain 2008,2010 or 2012, but they are damn entertaining and have fantastic harmony. Plus, what I love is they were badly underestimated because of a supposed lack of lethality up top and yet they never fell short in terms of goals! Also, they showed insane resilience against the likes of Germany, France and England who were all APPARENTLY BETTER TEAMS 🤭 I tell you now, Germany's squad was full of holes and their performances vs Switzerland and Spain were horribly lacking. They needed a plan B in Fullkrug's physicality to even give them a chance! England meanwhile... they were 60 seconds away from losing to SLOVAKIA. They were never the standard bearers and the favourites tag weighed too heavily
