Jasper, did you know that you're my new hero? Speaking as a BIG Haunted Mansion Fan...this is AWESOME!!! I've wanted to do the same thing for years but had no idea on how to begin.
Standing by....is it ready yet?...How about now? By the way, I had no idea that you were the genius behind the Mr. Chicken website...I'm a fan of your stuff and this is another great example of your skill. (is it ready yet?)
You can see them in this Phantom Manor refurb vid @ 1:18. Looks like they use micro pneumatic actuators. They wouldn't have the smooth movement yours does. ruclips.net/video/PwouKk0RZKs/видео.htmlm18s
Thanks for the link. So cool to see the guts! That may be, but we're also building for very different purposes. I know mine wouldn't hold up to half the use theirs get. I suppose there's a trade off with everything.
This Is Awesome! Are you going to make a tutorial? I want to make one but wouldn't know where to start? Is it controlled by an arduino or raspberry pi? So many questions lol!
Man, I just checked out the Pololu Maestro controller...that thing is pretty cool. Looks like an inexpensive and easy way to get going in animatronics.
Amazing! I can't wait until you have kits available!
This brilliant!! Wonderful job!
Received mine this week! WOOHOO!

DIY Kits are here! Check out the new video!
It's great!
Amazing!! I would definitely be interested in a kit.
Hey - did you get this kit? Do you think an unskilled Realtor could put it together?
@@darenlong7835 I did not, but everything Jasper makes is way cool and I have no doubt you could put it together.
That is a way better mech than Disney uses.
Haha, I don't know about that, but thanks! DIY kits are coming soon!

Very true. Those actuators will last practically forever, properly maintained.

I'm going to see about putting some kits together in the future. I'm using a Pololu Maestro controller with an audio player.

I do have a kit that is similar to this, and several videos covering it
very, very cool. I'd get one, but it's over my threshold of $200 for such type of things. I wish it wasn't so expensive.

Haha, keep your eyes peeled. I'll likely have kits available next year.
