      Hanzvadzi yamai wako zvaisingade (since your mother's brother does not want)
      He sometimes varies it to "hanzvadzi yamai wako zvaisingarime" meaning since your mother's bro does not plough"")
      So in this song, it seems the aunt (wife to mother's brother), is encouraging the husband's nephew to make love to her because his mother's brother does not want to do so.

    The passion....... there should be some deeper meaning of this song the Dr knows of that I may not know of. The song itself is excellent but what draws me more is his body language while singing it

      I have heard somewhere that these were Ambuya Beauler Dyoko's lyrics, can't be sure though :)

      @@fwah23 I am not really sure could be! Then again, Mukanya has made some variations in this song. The studio recorded he says "hanzvadzi yamai vako zvaisangarime..." In the present song he is saying "hanzvadzi yamai vako zvaisingade..." You can safely conclude rather draw an inference from both versions of the song inyaya yebonde!

      @@zifanifaz4416 it's traditional shona song ,Chiwoniso Maraire played also this song ,but what mukanya did was to experiment with modern instrument something which he is credited for than any other artists in Zimbabwe.

      @@fwah23 those lyrics are hundreds of years old. Possibly some of the oldest mbira song lyrics still alive.
