The best music I heard in church but singing from the best friend of our family's Doctor😢😢😢❤❤❤ who surely now is on heaven. Our missing was great for Doct. Alberto Monti in Milan❤ Alberto
A very pleasant composition, ( many years ago, it sounded at my wedding in a damaged church after the war. I always love to hear this composition - Organ music!.
One of the most beautiful music pieces I love to play on the piano but this orchestra is performing a magnificent musical incorporated with the organ. Toooo beautiful Belissimo 😍
Handel was born the same year as Bach (1685) and was the big star of the era making it big in London and elsewhere in Europe. And Bach actually tried to meet Handel at two separate occasions but unfortunately it didn't happen. Imagine if they did meet.
I like the fact that the lyrics of this piece celebrate the shade of a plant tree and not - as one might assume - god's greatness. But then again - the shade of a plant tree and god's greatness is maybe the same thing.
@@copernicus633 It's a bit insulting to both the composer and the performer to suggest that the piece was actually composed / performed by a fictitious sky daddy. I realise that it's "supposed" to be a compliment but it's just not. If I were to sit down at a pipe organ and play as competently as Diane, THAT would be a gift from God, a miracle, because I can't play the organ. I'm sure Diane will agree it's no gift - it's a huge amount of practice and dedication. 😃
De todas as interpretações do Largo de Haendel gostei mais dessa com órgão e orquestra, achei bem cadenciada, dentro da normalidade, claro não menosprezando as demais interpretações, que foram ótimas.
Beautiful performance. However, these are the words that Handel wrote for this song: "Tender and beautiful fronds of my beloved plane tree, let Fate smile upon you. May thunder, lightning, and storms never disturb your dear peace, nor may you by blowing winds be profaned. Never was a shade of any plant dearer and more lovely, or more sweet". No mention of God, almighty or otherwise.
She didn't say Handel wrote the words "God, almighty"...she said the music had been arranged for choir and the words are these: "Holy, Art Thou, Lord God, Almighty". A quick Google search indicated it was arranged by Leigh Kingsmill: Holy art thou, Lord God Almighty Who wert and art, and art to come Glory and majesty in heaven are Thine Earth lowly bending, swells the full harmony Blessing and glory to the Lamb for evermore For worthy, worthy are Thou Let all nations and kindreds and peoples Give thanks to Thee for evermore.
I am surprised about the shift to a religious content for this music. Handel composed loads of faith-influenced music. But this particular one, the "Largo" is "Ombra mai fu", a sublime melody about the goodness of the shade of a beautiful tree and how it comforted human beings.
José Rufino Xavier Handel, Mozart e muitos outros grandes músicos, eram de uma sensibilidade muito grande, suas musicas faziam e nos fazem, embarcar e viajar ao infinito.
It's a final phase of the supreme bliss that listen to this magnificent performance while looking at wonderful footage . From Tokyo of the Land of the Rising Sun 🇯🇵

Sent from god? Seriously? 🤔

I'll take the God version😇😇😇 so the nature version is beautiful also, and in my mind, comes from God.
Totally respect your beliefs. The one thing that cannot be done is to imply that Handel wrote this as a religious piece. That's disingenuous at best.
Thank you so much for sharing these words
The only one implying anything is you.

This performance washes away the secular dirt
