@@Wyatt42069bro what are u goin on about he had what most people lack, a spectacular talent of songwriting ability and his technical noise skill is brutal. Most people play speedy ear garbage tapping frets in patterns and think they are randy rhoads. He used what he knew and learned naturally, he didn't sit down with some douchebag to be told how to use his instrument, he did it by himself which is the best way. Everyone and their mother can play a metallica song on tik tok, but i guarantee you they couldn't write a song as good as him, and definitely wouldn't be able to replicate his ability of making the perfect guitar riffs for that song. And not only did he write his guitar parts, but he would stand behind krist and dave a lot and tell them what to play. Absolute musical mastermind. There is no better or worse when it comes to music however, it's subjective to each individual person. But in my opinion there's just no way you can say 700 million people are better than him 🤦♂️🤦♂️🤦♂️
Lots of bands repeat or mix up lots of their riffs. It's kinda what gives em their recognizable sound. Plus... annnny picking riff will sound like "Come as You Are" with that effect. 32 yrs playing guitar, and that effect name has totally escaped my mind. But I think it's "chorus" with some "flange" to boot.
That's a great observation; the G-C-B-A/G-C-B-A lead atop the D/C rhythm, along with Ringos brilliant tom-oriented #234 beat, combine to create one of my favorite early-styled Beatles songs. I apologize if my attempt at "texting" music is as poor as it looks but the similarity is striking, though achieved by means of the vocals acting as the rhythm (D/C) heard in the layers of 'And I Love Her' Thanks for the observation; I love these sorts of nuanced relationships
Many songs were abandoned by Kurt, some had attempts on all albums (Sappy) yet were never added to said albums. I believe “Burn the rain” was its own song, as was “Come as you are”.
I actually had a sense of nostalgia hearing that because I had been given the montages of heck HBO documentary on DVD for my 12th birthday. I distinctly remember waking up to it everything I fell asleep in the credits and would have a slight bit uncomfortable with it playing over the menu of Kurt's sculptures.
“Come as you are” (1991, Nirvana) has the same riff as “Eighties” (1983, Killing Joke), which is almost identical to “Life Goes On” (1982, Captain Sensible, recorded by The Damned). Burn the Rain bears very little similarity to the above 3 songs.
besides those two you have ... The Equals - Baby Come Back (1968)...Bauhaus "hollow hills" (1981) Garden Of Delight "22 faces" ...wouldnt surprise me if there are more songs using that riff out there

Best part about Nirvan is that they never gave af about anything artificial. They didn't try fitting a million meaninsg into one line, they didn't try to do a suprr human level riff, and they didn't fold to whatever get them at the top of the bill board. They always just made music that sounded good.
Idk if it sound as similar as you made it sound but with that chorus on playing any sort of one note riff (my way of saying no chords, not just one note repeated lol) in that lower register is going to sound similar. Tho it makes me want to try and come up with something haha.
He did that a lot. Rape Me has pretty much the same strumming pattern as Smells Like Teen Spirit in the intro and the solo for Frances Farmer Will Have Her Revenge On Seattle also sounds very similar to Teen Spirit. Also in the beginning riff of Frances Farmer there’s a part of it which also sounds like Come As You Are aswell
