  • For Remembrance Sunday I interview Ian Howell from the Commonwealth War Graves Commission about the work they do here in South Wales and all over the world. He tells the story of a war hero personal in his own life and how that inspired him to volunteer. We also hear about a fantastic project we all might be able to help with.
This video is an episode in the 'History On Your Doorstep' series. Written, presented and published by Welsh author and historian; Graham Loveluck-Edwards and broadcast on Bro Radio.

There are two war graves in St Cattwgs church in Llanmaes, both were airmen killed in accidents at RAF St Athan during WW2. As happens every year, poppies were laid on their grave today as part of the annual village remembrance service. Both headstones are in good condition and well maintained.
