Something that I don't understand about Royal Mint coins like this, is that they don't make use of frosting. The way Perth Mint do it, really accentuates particular aspects of the design and you end up with a better overall result. Perhaps it's the Royal Mint trying to make a point of difference in their aesthetics, compared to Perth Mint. But I think they're missing a trick here, hugely. Because often their designs, which can be quite compelling, are lost in the shininess of the coin. Like in the case of this coins, the wizard's smock could have been frosted, which would have brought out the face more, which is quite detailed.

@dleetr They under use frosting for sure. I had a previous video on some silver "Valiants" where they frosted the horse. It was good. I'd love to see them do some frosting on gold bullion. Excellent comment, thanks for watching!

@@emperorwang0861 All good man. It's great getting to see what people have gotten. This is a series I didn't get, because i'm locked into a couple of other ones in the one ounce, which take the budget and quarters i've been collecting the Tudor Beasts. But now i've the dragon, I think that's going to be it. It's taking away money I need for Lunars et al. So i'll have to rely on people's uploads to check what those coins look like from now on. heh.
