Kanahi Yamashita | Reverie-Nocturne, Op.19 by Giulio Regondi | Open Strings Berlin

It was an absolute pleasure for us to meet the wonderful Kanahi. We spent a wonderful summer afternoon on top of this hill next to Teufelsberg in the Westend of the city, overlooking this beautiful panorama of Berlin.
To hear this piece in such a musical and flawless way is a blast. Suddenly everything makes sense and you find yourself just dreaming away, forgetting how extremely hard it is to play this one ;)

Excellent interpretation, your tremolo is very expressive. I've heard some versions where it seems to be that speed is the main focus, but you manage to mix technical dexterity with musical understanding of the piece. Great job!

This piece is complex because the composer was a virtuoso of the instrument, but you can play simple pieces that last 2 minutes, at the end of the day music is to be interpreted and also enjoyed.

Both performance and the venue were so beautiful.
I wonder how the mic was set up. Obviously quite a bit of reverb has been added but it almost sounds like it was recorded in a chamber. No environmental sound at all.
