as for Abel, who appeared in the films as Athena's brother, I believe his existence stems from the mythical prophecy
Zeus's first wife was not Hera, his first wife was Metis, Titaness of Counsel and Wisdom, and when Metis got pregnant, she told Zeus that Earth Mother Gaia had told her that she would bear Zeus two children, the first was a girl that would be equal in power to Zeus, the second was a boy that would be more powerful than Zeus
when Zeus heard this, he got paranoid that the son would do to him what he did to his father, so Zeus swallowed the still pregnant Metis, however, Metis refused to stay in Zeus's gut, and moved to his brain, there, she gave birth to Athena, the two of them caused such a racket in Zeus's head that Zeus had to order Hephaestus to split his skull to stop the pain, Athena emerged from Zeus's head full grown at that moment, Metis remained within Zeus's head, now that her daughter was free, she was content to fade away into pure thought that would advise Zeus and put him on the path into becoming a mostly wise ruler, this way, the prophecy about Metis and Zeus having a son would never come true
in Saint Seiya, it appears that Metis gave birth to the son that was prophecized to rule the universe instead of Zeus first, that son was Abel, but he was too powerful and out of control that Zeus had to seal him away, then Metis announced she was pregnant again, and Zeus, not wanting another Abel fiasco, swallowed her whole, but Metis survived in Zeus's body long enough to give birth to Athena, who then escapes and is born from Zeus's head, while Metis fades away within Zeus's body and simply becomes an echo within Zeus's mind, offering him advise and strategy

Same tho I don't want him wearing armor right away, him being op with no armor is part of what makes him intimidating.

well, he might appear, since Ophiuchus Asclepius was said to be his demigod son
in original myths, Apollo fell in love with a princess from Thessaly names Koronis, the two quickly became lovers and Koronis became pregnant with Apollo's child
one version says that she abandoned her child after birth, because she was ashamed of his illegitimacy, never mind that he was a demigod, so Asclepius was left with a shepherd, but Apollo later retrieved him
the more popular version states that Koronis had an affair with a mortal man named Ischys while pregnant with Apollo's child, because she didn't think she should be faithful to a God, who would eventually leave her when she turns old and gray, besides, Apollo was not a faithful lover, so he shouldn't expect his lovers to be faithful to him, unfortunately, Apollo took offense to that and ended up shooting Koronis dead, Koronis, with her dying breath, called out Apollo for his cruelty, she said that even if she did deserve this fate for her infidelity, he should have at least waited for her to give birth to his son before killing her in cold blood, Apollo immediately regretted his impulsive action when he heard that, but it was too late to save his princess, the only thing he could do was perform a caesarian and remove his child from Koronis's womb before giving her body to the flames of a funeral pyre
the child of Koronis and Apollo would be named Asclepius, which means "cut open", and Apollo personally raised Apollo for a while before leaving him in the care of Chiron the centaur, Chiron saw that Asclepius was gifted with natural therapeutic powers, so he taught him about herbs and medicine, Asclepius soon became even more skilled than his father and his mentor at healing, his greatest breakthrough, one that would cost him his mortal life, was when he discovered how to cure death
since snakes were animals sacred to Apollo, Asclepius could understand their language, (kinda like Harry Potter's parseltongue), and this was how Asclepius discovered rare herbs that only snakes knew how to obtain, these herbs had great rejuvenation powers and snakes shared it among themselves to revive each other from the brink of death, Asclepius had the idea of using it on humans
from then on, Asclepius would always carry a staff that had a live snake coiled around it, the snake would assist in healing and often gave Asclepius advice that only he understood, this staff with a snake entwined around it would be adapted as the symbol of medical professionals
unfortunately, even though Asclepius had been nothing but a saint to the ill, his actions were putting Hades out of business, reviving a person whose lifespan was up disturbed the natural balance between life and death, plus, only deities were allowed to live forever, so Zeus ended up executing Asclepius with a lightning bolt
Asclepius's unfortunate death angered Apollo, who took it out on the Cyclops that made Zeus's lightning, in order to keep peace among the Olympians, Zeus and Apollo agreed to a truce of sorts
Asclepius was revived as the God of Healing, his image painted in the stars as Ophiuchus the Snake Bearer, Apollo had to accept banishment from Olympus till he proved his worth

in the original myths, Apollo was born as the younger twin brother of Artemis, their parents were Zeus and Leto
Leto suffered a very long pregnancy, because Hera cursed her out of jealousy, as Leto was one of Zeus's many lovers
the curse stated that Leto was not permitted to give birth on land with roots to the earth, and that was basically every where, so Leto had no choice but to roam the earth, unable to find sanctuary, and to make things worse, a monstrous giant snake, Python, pursued Leto during her journey
eventually, Leto did find sanctuary on Delos, which was then a floating island in the sea that had no roots to earth
some versions say Leto knew by instinct about Delos, others say that Zeus took pity and begged Poseidon to help, so Poseidon tore a piece of the ocean floor to create Delos for Leto to give birth on
either way, Leto gave birth on Delos, and as a result, Delos was no longer adrift, it was now anchored in one place, Artemis came first, and she instantly grew into a little girl, she then helped her brother come into the world, Apollo also grew quickly into a little boy and learned instinctively how to sing and dance
Artemis and Apollo were later welcomed to Olympus by their father, Zeus wanted to know what kind of Gods they would become
Artemis immediately said she would like to remain a virgin and form a sisterhood of maiden huntresses that were free to roam the world and hunt wild animals without interference from men
Apollo, on the other hand, stated that he would like to become patron of all forms of arts, such as poetry and music
later on, Apollo would avenge his mother and kill Python, he then took over the Oracle of Delphi and became its guardian deity, thus, obtaining prophetic powers
Apollo then roamed the land, hitting on nymphs and mortals (both male and female), but his relationship with his lovers were always short lived
Apollo was also a bit more rebellious compared to his paternal half-siblings, because he disobeyed Zeus a few times and had to accept the punishment of being banished from Olympus to serve mortal masters as a mortal with no powers for an extended period of time, once his servitude was over, he would be welcome back to Olympus
Apollo had a few demigod children, most of which became doctors, poets, and musicians

I love this movie. but it breaks my heart till this date. that this movie almost literally killed SAINT SEIYA. since it didn't succeed in Japan. and due to that Saint Seiya inferno, elysion had a way lower budget and the quality wasn't in part with what Hades Sanctuary was. plus the main seiyus were replaced as well including Seiya's.
the other 2 sequels movies were cancelled as well. and since then Saint Seiya hasn't been what It was till overture. which was the last project were all the SAINT SEIYA original staff worked together. hopefully next year's announcement for the new upcoming saint seiya 2d series is something great. either a remake,. Episode G or Saint Seiya Next Dimension

Masami Kurumada was annoyed with the movie because director Shigeyasu Yamauchi did not fully follow Kurumada's instructions so Kurumada canceled the project, including Kurumada made a manga that serves as the opening of the film, Toei did not like the result of the movie and fired Shigeyasu Yamauchi .
Masami decided to create Next Dimension as an official continuation of the work in place of the film.

in Saint Seiya, Apollo and Artemis are older siblings of Athena (the myths didn't really say the order of the birth of Zeus's kids clearly, we only know for certain that Athena was born after Hephaestus, since he was the one who split Zeus's head to allow Athena's entry into the world, it's likely that in Saint Seiya, Athena is portrayed as Zeus's youngest daughter), Apollo has yet to make an official appearance in the manga, it is assumed that just as Artemis lives in a palace on the moon, Apollo lives in a palace within the sun or he doesn't exactly have a palace, but instead drives the sun chariot around the world all the time
