    Thank you for this video but still i have a question, Particles with different masses will also have different radii thus different velocity so they will deflect not entering the circular motion part so does that mean that the spectrometer only measures one type of particle at a time?

    Amazing! How do we measure the charge of a particle in the mass spectrometer? Also, how do we find out the radius? We can't simply use a protractor I guess :/

    That was excellent, but you shouldn't have used the vector symbols on the letters, since you're only considering the magnitudes.

      Magnetic field always acts perpendicular to the motion of the particle. This provides centripetal force.
