If there are trumpet players among the commentators who are amazed, what do we need to express? Short and brilliant!

We're always blown away (pun intended) by the creative output our virtual instruments trigger. Totally worth all the effort, and SO great to share with you!

These sound great! I would love to hear something that makes prominent use of the cornet and euphonium!

Great sounding library, Guy Bacos does a great job at demonstrating it as he always does, and the generative AI thumbnail is stupid and bad.

Well, we tried getting a real cat, but he wouldn’t stand still-and convincing him to gently place his paw on a French horn was a whole other challenge! 😂 On a serious note, I’m glad you enjoyed the library demo and appreciate the kind words about my work. I believe the thumbnail was an AI-generated touch added by the team, I’m not directly involved in the thumbnail design.

Hi! Thank you for letting us know how you feel. Did the Thumbnail stop you from catching the video's attention? We have to try different things, and RUclips allows us to compare thumbnails (and their effective reach) to understand better what types of thumbnails are displayed more often. Best, Andreas

@@ViennaSymphonicLibrary It's an ethical question for me. In general you're doing great work in fostering the music and art community. You're hiring great composers, great instrumentalists, you employ great sound engineers, you work together with great musical institutions, and you enable other musicians to compose and arrange great sounding orchestral music. Money invested in your products is money invested in this culture of collaboration in art.
Using generative AI in advertising is the opposite of all that. It's derived from other artists' works who don't get remunerated and who'll have trouble making a living without jobs like these. Maybe I'm a man shouting at clouds, but I think it's important to be protective of this collaborative culture and the artists within it.
With all that said, we see these AI pictures everywhere right now, and they've become the signature look of crappy products, so I wouldn't even do this from an advertising standpoint. But again, that's my one quibble here and I hope my compliments for the library and Guy Bacos are received as genuine as I mean them. All the best!

@@pedtersonI agree regarding AI thumbnails. It just comes off as cheap, unprofessional, and sometimes downright trashy when I see these, which VSL is NOT. It’s just not a good look, the quality of any product should speak for itself. Information or images of the product, composer, instruments, that’s more appropriate and professional.

Please don't use AI generated garbage thumbnails, they show that you don't care about the value of artists, which is unbecoming of musicians.

I understand if you feel that an AI-generated image might not align with the high standards of a company as esteemed as VSL. However, I think it’s quite unfair to suggest that this reflects a disregard for the value of artists. Speaking from personal experience, I can confidently say the opposite is true. VSL not only creates exceptional sample libraries but also actively supports and encourages artists like myself and many others. I would kindly encourage you to reconsider and nuance your statement, as it doesn’t reflect the incredible work and ethos of this company.

@@guybacos The AI art "doesn’t reflect the incredible work and ethos of this company". Instead of paying an artist to produce something fitting and appropriate, they chose to use a soulless corporation that scraped hundreds of millions of artworks without artists permission, without paying for them, and threw up soulless garbage at the cost of two rainforests, five deep mines, and 20 terawatts of electricity.
Nothing says "we don't value artists" as giving money to AI-generated garbage than actually employing an artist.
What's the nuance of using stolen artworks to create marketing videos? How will you feel when someone makes "AI" generated "music" that will be heavily based on your scraped music, without a permission from you or from VSL? You're defending your own downfall.
