    What a great idea!!! I love how clean this method is, and how little space the pens take up when not in use.

    Fence line feeder for Winter is a great idea! As an older shepherd with knee replacements in both knees and arthritis it is essential that I don’t get caught up in the food rush! My sheep average 240-360lbs and they don’t mind if you’re standing between them and the food...first come first served!

    I really like your feeder system. I was just telling my husband about building something with boards at the backside to prevent spillage. Our sheep are currently spilling all over the place. 🤣 Nice video! Keep it up 😀

    Looks great, I want to use some of these ideas.
    How do you secure the panels? If a lamb bumped them the two panels together will fall over or move.

    This is beautiful and simple, we are in SC Kentucky. We rennovated an immense old tobacco barn. 66' x 68' with a loft. It has the cracks for drying tobacco years ago. We love the ventilation for our flock of White Dorper. The lambing area is within the main barn so any wind moisture never gets into that area. There really is very little problem to start with and we get 45 inches of rain a year.
    The cooling breezes from the ventilation is better than a sealed building.
    Your lambing panels have solved my problems with ours. I wanted sturdy but light and not permanent. Thank you.
    We start lambing on Feb 12 th.
    You have a lovely set up.

    Love this set up. This is our first year lambing and I was curious what you feed? I see this a couple years old. Not sure if you still see comments.

    Do not you use and bedding for your sheep? It seems it is just dirt ...

    • @quailjailss
      @quailjailss 4 месяца назад

      At the dairy I worked at it was a compacted dirt floor in the barn. Every morning after milking the sheep were put out into the fields and we would rake up all the poop and then put Agricultural lime down for the urine. This is the best and cost effective way to manage a sheep barn. Deep bedding has its perks up north but you’re spending an arm and a leg on bedding when it’s all said and done
