Nice video. Thank you. I like the gradual body hole filing part. Just a little here and there. Take your time. You will get there. I have a Kato F3a in a box awaiting similar surgery.
thanks for your descriptive video. Does Micro Train have a conversion for the same Kato coupler to a Rapido coupler? All my rolling stock is old with Rapido couplers. I assume its big hassle to swamp Bachman, Atlas and ConCor rapido couplers to knuckle couplers?
I would would just make a conversion car or two to pull behind youe locomotives that goes from MT's to your Rapido couplers. Cheaper and simpler to do.
Save the springs unless you have tbousands like me,this is a installation where a MT tweezer comes in handy, file the coupler box,not the body shell,IMHO
You could certainly do that, but it has been my experience that as soon as you start to mess with that box it comes apart and the spring goes to the winds and now you have a new problem.
Bless your patients. TY for the video.

No I do not believe they do. I would go with my previous statement.
@@everywherewestmodels thanks for your reply. Will the MT 2000-1 work with Kato coupler ?
@@billyruppert4776 the 2000-1 is a kit consisting of a MT 2004 for the front and a MT 1128 for the rear. They couple up to Kato coupler
Nice how too. Thanks for sharing. Dave
Thank you
The kit is a Micro-Trains 2000-1 kit, 1128 for the rear and 2004 for the front.
Is that a military surplus desk?
Probably, it came from Kmart that closed down.

That is a great idea. Never thought about that. Thanks for mentioning that.
I just spent half a day proving I am too inept to do this simple task. How much would you charge for it?
25 dollars plus return shipping

I personally would file the coupler box instead
You could certainly do that, but it has been my experience that as soon as you start to mess with that box it comes apart and the spring goes to the winds and now you have a new problem.
