Amazing tips! Thank you so much!
The keychains look beautiful!
Glad you like them! 😊
I love UV resin!
Thank you! I have some ordered and I do have the discs and will definitely make some keychains!
Thank you so much! This straight forward video is extremely helpful. I’m about to try my first keychains
Always happy to help!
This is very nice and informative!
Awesome, I'm so glad you found it helpful! Thanks for watching! -Becky
I absolutely love both of these keychain but I really liked how u did the clear one with the flower but I love the glitter B keychain
Thank you Kalene! That purple glitter turned out so gorgeous, I agree that it's my favorite too! It's on my keychain right now! ---Becky
Great video, beautiful 💯thanks
Really cute! Love the tutorial
Glad you loved it! :)
Loved your video!! I LOVE that it’s only 2 MINS to dry!!
I'm so glad to hear you love it! - Brittany
Thank you for the video. Very straightforward and helpful.
I am curious though, you talked about it being a little resin, and also a lot of resin, depending on what you're familiar with.... if you could give a rough estimate, how many of these keychains do you think your bottle of resin would cover?
Thank you again.
Great video. What does the edge of the keychain feel like after doing both sides? Does the resin flow over a bit to make the edge smooth?
Thanks so much for the tutorial. ❤️
You are so very welcome Lidia! If there is anything we can do to help, let us know! - Dawn 🙂
Beautiful!!!
Thank you! Cheers!
Awesome video I just bought some UV resin and gonna try it for the 1st time thank you
Have fun!
I know this is an older bideo but it was very help full gor me. Putting a top coat on a bottle opener for instance helps me. Im new & i do find flaws. Thanks for sharing your talents
this is great infirmation, I would like to know what brand of resin you used and what uv light brand you use
I love this ❤
Thank you!
How do keep from bubbles forming while it’s curing under the UV lamp? I’ve had this problem and I’m not sure how to fix it! ☹️
Thank you
Super useful, I’m making some masks atm and I’ve bought some uv resin for the eyes, you answered all my questions, thank you!
How many ml's of resin are you using for the glitter backing? I am an epoxy person so used to measuring! lol
Great job! I love that tedious parts are fast forwarded!
these are super cute. I have been wanting to try keychains but wasn't sure how to do it.
You can do it! We'd love to see them when you try!
approx how many keychains do you think you can coat per bottle of the resin you are using?
Thank You for the video 😊 can uv resin be used with out the lamp and still get hard
I'm starting out with UV resin. I have experience with regular resin, but I've never used the UV stuff before. Is there a brand you recommend and should I get a kind that's no mix or a part A and part B that's 1 to 1 mix like the kind of regular resin that I'm familiar with?
Love this tutorial! I've never used resin but I'd love to try it!
You definitely should Jordyn! Thanks for watching!
Welcome to ur new addiction!
This might be a stupid question but do you still need to use a vented mask in a vented area with the UV resin like it’s recommended for the epoxy resin?
Great question! The box for the UV Resin I use says that it is Non Toxic and to just wear eyeglasses and gloves. I would just check with the manufacturer and ask for their safety information if it's not readily available, each one could potentially be different. Hope this helps! ---Becky
I just bought the color pour UV hard resin, and I like it. It's my first UV resin. I have a 9wat lamp but I have a 120Wat coming in the mail.
My issue is the bubbles, I cannot for the life of me get rid of them. I used a torch, and a lighter, didn't work well. It got some bubbles but not all. Do you recommend any other way to get rid of bubbles?
😭
Hey Amy, have you tried a fine mist of alcohol? I know it needs to be very light, but lots of crafters report success with this method. Hope this helps! ---Becky
how do i ventilate my room to work with uv resin? i’m completely new to resin and i don’t have a clear idea on how i should ventilate my workspace to work safely with uv resin. please help?
what brand of uv resin is good for this? I'm a beginner.
Hi, thanks for the video. I find that my keychains have little popped bubble holes after its cured (even though I've run a lighter over them before putting then under uv lamp). Any idea how I can stop this from happening 🥰 thank you so much
Hi there! First, to prevent the bubbles from forming you can stir slowly and pop the bubbles in the resin before its poured. However, if the bubble holes do appear, you can always fill them with resin if they are large enough. - Dawn
I have a mermaid tail that I take Into the pool for swimming, it has 5,000 plastic scales, I want them to be shinier, can I just paint on some resin??? Will it stick to plastic? Waterproof?
Good question! Resin can be an option for you. One problem is that resin is self-leveling, so I'm afraid that it would "slide" off the shape of the mermaid scales and pool around the sides. You can certainly try UV resin as it cures faster under a UV lamp, but I'd hate to risk ruining your keychain if the resin doesn't work well. Hope this helps! ---Becky
What resin are you using? The one I'm using is still sticky after it's finished curing. Like a residue. Is there something I can use to clean these off?
When this happens to me, I set the project in direct sunlight for a bit and it usually hardens right up. Hope this helps! ---Becky
@@DesignBundles awesome thank you~ 💗
Hello. Thank you so much for this great video. i want to ask that: i use paper stickers on acrylic keychains. Can i use uv resine only to protect them on coat?
Hi there! Yes, you can use UV Resin on the keychain but we recommend sealing them with decoupage glue before the resin to prevent the resin from soaking in or staining the sticker.
Hi, I have recently started working with UV resin, is it safe to use indoors? I tried outdoors in the shade and the uv rays were too much for it and it would harden too fast even before I used the light.
You can, however you will want to make sure you have sufficient ventilation and protective equipment.
Thank you. I was going to try the garage but have not yet.
@Design Bundles I was wondering if you could post links to the materials & tools you used? That little-bitty silicone brush and those little mixers are adorable. Thank you, this was a great video. And so easy, it looks like.

What type of UV resin are you using. I have tried 2 types now and both are tacky after My nail lamp is 120watt I have tried using the low setting , putting it higher up , letting cool between. Nothing seems to help.
Any advice would be awesome.
Great video and beautiful keychains.
Hey there! When my keychains are tacky (it happens to everyone from time to time I feel like) then I will set my keychains in direct sunlight and let it harden that way. It works every time for me. Hope this helps! ---Becky
@@DesignBundles
After doing a lot of research one little comment stood out and it was if the room is not room temp but cold it could cause an issue. My room is above a patio and gets a lot colder then the rest of the house. I keep a heater in there when I’m doing my 2 part epoxy but don’t run it all day unless working. So I warned up the room and wrapped the Uv resin in a shirt to get it to room temp about 72-75 then tried and it worked. Perfectly.
Lesson learned to anyone struggling getting UB resin not to be tacky is don’t do it in a cold area. Don’t warm the resin in water or heater just rub the bottles or wrap them in something to get a bit warmer.
Both types did work but the one still has a weird feel to it not tacky but not smooth as glass
Ultimate Crafting I have the same issue trying to make glitter pens and I gave up bc it was still tacky and not smooth like all these other people that make them. Theirs looks shiny and mine is tacky. I'm in NJ so it's still cold here to leave in direct sunlight. So if the kitchen area is like 68 it won't cure properly then? We never put the temp to 75 that is too hot in the house for everyone. Plus I'm sitting in the kitchen and the window is in front of me bc I do the work in the corner bc that's where my desk is set up.
Hello! I don’t have a light like yours to dry up my resin- would my own lamp at home work the same way or even leave it outside by the sunlight work? I have never used resin before and I am trying to learn how to use it for my next video :) The only other light I really have is a black light flashlight lol-
You can definitely use direct sunlight, it works great, it just takes a little longer. Hope this helps! ---Becky
@@DesignBundles thank you so so much! I really appreciate it and this helps a lot, thank you so so much!
You give great information, thank you. I'm a beginner. How do knowhow much uv resin to pour. Pls tell Lisa
A little bit goes a long way with the UV resin! - Brittany
How did you get that purple to cure? It was so dark and opaque. I thought you needed to let the UV light through?
Hey Colette, I haven't had any problems using darker glitter colors. I *believe* as long as you're not using a dark color mold, the color of the glitter doesn't make a significant difference. Hope this helps! ---Becky
What resin do you use? Does it have to be used with an epoxy or just the resin?
Hey Patty! The UV Resin I used in this video is from Amazon, I'll link it for you below. UV Resin is ued on it's own in place of 2-part epoxy, no need to combine the two. Hope this helps! ---Becky

I have question how do you prevent your uv resin from cracking. Because I put uv resin over my phone case
UV Resin works best on surfaces that won't bend or give. The acrylic is a very hard surface, so it works very well. I think most phone cases have at least a little give to them, which may result in cracking. Hope this helps! ---Becky
I have a uv lamp for gel nails, can I use that or does it need to be dedicated to uv resin?? Tyia.
Any UV lamp with a good wattage should work, I believe all the lamps we are using for UV resin originated for gel nails, but I could be wrong. Hope this helps! ---Becky
i know I am kind of randomly asking but does anybody know of a good site to watch newly released movies online?
@Sonny Henry Lately I have been using FlixZone. You can find it on google =)
@Gus Anson Yup, I have been watching on flixzone for since march myself =)
@Gus Anson thanks, I went there and it seems like they got a lot of movies there :) Appreciate it!
What's the svg for the letters ? Love that layers.
What kind of lamp do you use for resine? Is it an specific one or is the same that the people use for nails? Thanks.
It is the same one used for nails, a UV lamp. Try to purchase one that is at least 45 watts or higher. Hope this helps! ---Becky
@@DesignBundles do you know the name brand? I’m looking for one that shape but they are all under 12watts
I've been trying to get help because apparently I'm doing it wrong. My jdiction device has 3 settings- 60, 90, 150 seconds. Even at the lowest setting, the dye I add shrinks up and deforms the resin slightly. And when I demold, there is a sticky mess. Using high viscosity.
When printing out a bunch of files, some are just pictures and some all text for a uv key chain. How do you flatten the file so it prints as one piece?
Hi Michele! Which program are you using? If it's Cricut, you can highlight all of the parts and then click the "flatten" option in the bottom right hand of the screen - Dawn 😊
Lwhat kind of uv did u use ? Thank u
Where can I find the SVG for the letter love it thanks
What brand of UV resin did you use? Do you need to wear a respirator when working with UV resin?
Could you please do a video of how to make the project from starting on cricut.
How long do you know how to keep the UV light on them?
Does anyone know the name of the font for the letter B?
OMG I’m so happy I found this video. I already use expoxy resin… the two step… and it’s sometimes so hard to get the bubbles out. This will be much easier for me to use. 🤦🏾♀️ how did I not know about this until now🤔😒😂 I have seen it a million times but never knew 🤯 I just wonder if it has a smell like the epoxy 🧐🤔 I shall find out soon. Thanks again for this video 🆗💝
Thank you Ladi! Glad to help ❤️
Which light is this? The one that came with my resin is crap
Why resin already sticky after bering under light any tips.. have the same brand as you.
Hey Missy! Sometimes if my resin is still sticky, I'll set it in direct sunlight for a few hours and that hardens it right up. Hope this helps! ---Becky
Does UV resin have bubbles? If so, can you burn them out with a flame like other resins?
Hey Jim, sometimes they do but not as often as 2-part epoxy it seems, or maybe it's the brand. You can heat it to pop the bubbles, and some also use a very light alcohol spritz. Hope this helps! ---Becky
@@DesignBundles
Thanks Becky. I will try that.
Can you post a link on your UV light thank you I like that it has the legs and no bottom on it
Hey Tina! I purchased this on Amazon and my exact product isn't available anymore. I will keep an eye out for one like it though! ---Becky
@@DesignBundles Do you know the Wattage? I had a 36w and stuff was still sticky after putting under the light multiple times. I am going to need a stronger wattage.
With adding glitter to the resin, is it bumpy after it's cured?
Hey Brandi, not as long as you use the extra fine glitter. Hope this helps! ---Becky
Does your resin come sticky or tacky?
As a beginner I know to get supplies ready..... what type of mask/ventilator do I need for these small crafts?
Hey Rosi, I'm not as up to date on protective equipment for UV resin, but from what I hear for regular 2-part epoxy, you want a face mask that will filter out organic vapors. I would probably check out a few of the Tumbler or Epoxy Facebook groups, those ladies are crazy knowledgeable about the gear you need. Hope this helps! ---Becky
Tru it’s only 2 part that need safety stuff
@DesignBundles, please give us the link to your UV ray lamp, the one I bought is so small and doesn’t cure in two minutes and my projects only have a very very thin layer of up resin! Can I still use the resin if I engrave with my glowforge?? Would it still look good ? Or would the resin look weird in the engraving ?
Hi there! Would you use the resin after engraving or are you asking if the Glowforge can engrave on customized resin? Just making sure I get the question correct!
@@DesignBundles I would engrave on the acrylic and then pour the resin on top of the engraved acrylic keychain. 😊
I think that sounds like it could work! If you have the materials it can't hurt to try! 😄 It's always fun to try something new!
I found uv resin with lamp cups egt for £24 so not bad for me to start😊
I’ve tried UV resin a couple times now, and each time, I let it sit for 24 hours before touching, then I run my finger across it and it leaves a finger smudge. Any suggestions on what I’m doing wrong? Or how I can solve it?
Hey Terri, it may not get enough UV rays from the lamp. If this happens to me, I set them in direct sunlight for a few hours. Hope this helps! ---Becky
what is the best UV lamp to use? My UV resin is NOT getting hard ... ,, PLEASE HELP
Hey there! To be honest, if you have time to leave them in direct sunlight, you will get amazing results. But for a UV lamp, the higher the wattage, the less time you will need to cure and you will have more consistent results. Hope this helps! ---Becky
I usually use epoxy because every time I try uv resin it stays sticky and it doesn't cure completely. Do you have any tips that may help me out?
It may depend on the lamp you are using. Any that are sticky, I would try to leave them in the sun over-day and see how they turn out. If you have a weak lamp, the UV resin might not cure all the way. Thanks for watching and let me know if that helps!

Hey Patricia! I bought these a few years ago on eBay. Sorry I can't be more help. They were reasonably priced, but I remember the shipping was crazy since they come assembled in one piece. Good luck!
My UV resin is pretty thick coming out the bottle, a lot thicker than what yours looks like. What can be the issue? Is that not unusual?
Hey Katika! I've only had this issue when I let my bottle sit for too long. UV Resin has a relatively short shelf life compared to other crafting materials. If this is a new bottle, I would check with the manufacturer. Hope this helps! ---Becky
Try warming the bottle up in a lil hot water "bath" to make it thinner 😁 also helps to get rid of bubbles 😉❤️
What is this vinyl paper called please
Did you do the UV resin indoors? I am having a hard time deciding what to do about using UV resin. Please help!! Was the product you used, did the fuses give off a bad smell.
Hey Dolores, I do use UV Resin indoors, the bottle says non-toxic but I think there are still a small amount of fumes and such. I would definitely use in a well ventilated area. The only bad part about using it outside is that if the resin is exposed to sunlight (UV rays) then it will begin to cure. Hope this helps! ---Becky
