I agree too. The view SE from the wee road between Altandhu and Achnahaird is mint, almost our own Monument Valley! And, all the way down by Stac Pollaidh is tremendous to the main road Keep being Yodagoat, it's your ride. Cheers man

Wow deja vu , that 90' corner you take at 1.23 looks like a corner my mate didn't take in his beetle in 1992 and carried on into the field which thankfully the gate was left open and also thankfully was firm enough ground on a dark November night for him to eventually stop and allow us to realise what happened and get him to revers out no damage done , we felt very lucky on realisation. , " it went road, road , dude this is not the road i think you missed a sharp corner" , if it is , we were lost and if I say we were trying to get to mount eagle , eventually found on a random forest track, would i be in the right part of Scotland for that particular bend, It was a pitch black night , no google maps or even a paper map or smart phones just transmitter lights that were visible then not , this wasn't planned but one of those dumb ideas of "see those lights can we get to them or not and i don't want to give other details given you pootling about there.

would tend to agree that is the better of the two routes by a mile. Anything with NC500 on it I stay clear , The most overhyped nonsense yet. People leave the city’s for Instagram but it’s scotland there ain’t many options. Been riding around scotland on motorbikes for 20 years now I go abroad it’s cheaper, Better roads, And not full of motorhomes .
I still love most of the North Coast loop. We've been riding there from way before anyone called it the NC500. You can still get it quiet if you go at the right time of year. The Drumbeg loop and Glen Sheil are still amazing fun.
@@yodagoat same, I still remember riding john o groats to durness seeing nobody, I’ll not be back until the fad blows over to be honest. It’s nice but not that nice. Inverary, direction hasn’t seemed so busy recent years with everyone going for a fridge magnet. There are some nice roads there also.
@@Crsf84I still find the worst bit for over tourism, by miles, is Skye. Absolute madness the amount of hired motorhomes clogged up the road there. Glen Brittle now has a massive car park on the road in!
Ride to Durness before 9am or after 6pm. Roads empty after that. All the tourists are sorting tea and admiring the view, clearing the way for the rest of us.
To be fair, even 15 years ago the edge of the road was a mess. The rain in winter makes it like a river and washes the gravel at the sides away. The vans in summer definitely aren't helping things.
it’s never been a good road in terms of condition, As mentioned in the vid the corners are not great it’s trying to be the apls on photos but couldn’t be further away from the alps if it tried. It’s a rubbish route even without motorhomes, Something you have to do once but really not worth a return journey.
@@RobLittleuk that'll be great. It will be a bit dull getting there though, we usually just blast the motorway past all the flat boring bits. Definitely worth it though.

It's a shame that the Bealach Na Ba has became so busy, but you can still get it relatively quiet if you go at the right time.
