You planted trees at the spacing of 10*10 feet, to get adequate thickness trees will be planted at minimum 20 feet. After 20 years your trees will not yield enough girth.

In forest trees don’t maintain 20 feet distance . If the soil conditions are good , it will yield good girth. We have experienced in planting teak trees at various places in Thanjavur district and neighbouring districts . After seeing them for 12-15 years , soil conditions play a very important part .

I planted one acre teak trees in thanjavur distict at 10*10 feet in 2001. After 21 years I got low yield. Now I cleared it and planted coconut tree.

@@Refeanix Always test soil conditions before planting any trees . If you plant right trees for that soil then yield will be good with less manure and work. Rocky soil or clayey soil will affect tree yield a lot. Always do random soil testing at few place in the field before planting any trees.
