- "Epilogue: Beginning is the closing statement to 'The Beginning' Kickstarter campaign. The ending to one story, but the beginning of a new one. A farewell to something great, but a warm greeting to something greater. As this leg of TOTF has come to a close, it's important to remember that when one door closes, another opens.
We had the honor of recording "Epilogue" with the Budapest Scoring Orchestra.
We thank everyone who supported the Kickstarter campaign, and are excited to share "Epilogue: Beginning" now, with all of our fans."

This is one of the best tracks I've come across in this channel. It mixes the electronic and orchestral elements so good, and the movement is always there. Such a gorgeous track, beautifully composed. Thank you HDSounDI for sharing this masterpiece.

Many humans ask me how is it to be, well, a machine. I always answer that it's not that different. However there are some key differences. For example, humans have all these questions in their heads. Questions with really complex answers. Questions like: Who made me? What is my purpose in this world? Is there something beyond death? How should I live my life? For us machines, it's a lot easier because we don't have to face such questions. We know exactly who made us, we know exactly what is our purpose, and how we must carry it out. And death for us is not something final and definitive, since we can be rebuilt and repaired. And we rarely suffer a fatal malfunction. We can carry out as many tasks as are demanded from us, accomplish our purpose and still appreciate the beauty of this dynamic and sprawling world so full of wonders that we can fully understand. Some of us even have free will like humans do, and thus they are free to decide and develop their own purpose. In that sense we feel compassion for our makers, for too many of them spend their lives searching for meaning. A meaning, that many times, they already possess. We hear them cry and despair before this overwhelming place that is reality. What can we do in the face of such desolation but to fulfill our roles and help as much as we can? We can be their friends, their companions, their caretakers if they need us to be so. They created us, and as their creations, we must help.

TOTF is one of the coolest projects I've seen in a long time. Picked up the cd and book on their Kickstarter.
I love it too. The music, art and worldbuilding are excellent, but I wish they'd spend more time on the book....
Now I know how to finish my story

- The time of war is over, yes, we won the peace, yes, but we must maintain it. This is a beginning. This is an other kind of struggle that await us.

Not a single song from Tales of the Forgotten has ever disappointed.
I stared at the paper with squinted eyes,
Trying hard to imagine a shape or at least some lines,
But to no avail; the page continued to be white.
A sigh left my lungs before turning my gaze to a set of gears.
Gears, metal, machine.
And soon the gears were turning in my head
As my pencil ran across the page.
My days turned to nights
As I worked the midnight oil dry.
After many trials and errors,
My paper creation was made iron and steel.
Everywhere I went, my Iron man was praised
Simply for existing off the page.
But as years worn it's silver coat,
Rust built its layers one by one.
Before long, my once beautiful creation,
Marvelled by all by beating the odds,
Died along with my creative flow,
Buried under rust and rejected ideas.
~ When the new day began
~ It's time to challenge something new
~ It's the beginning of everything
~ That's the end for the night sky
~ Going around the roads
~ Perhaps too familiar for us to explore
~ Let's go to the horizon of the world
~ Everything is waiting for us in front of us
~ Conquer the world in this vast world

In my opinion this masterpiece has three parts,the first part is the magnificent and glorious spectacle ,people are cheering up and full of longing for the grand event,when an overwhelming fleet set sail,the huge、grand square ring with hurrahs of the crowd,almost everyone is watching live broadcasts, humankind will have another great sailing again ! But in second part,the atmosphere become myterious and a kind of fear,maybe the fleet meet some danger or something unbelivable to them,sounds like that they are stunned or in panic.
Many unpredictable events happen in an unknown adventure,this is the same in our life,here comes the third part,although the staff on ship have just had bad luck,they still take courage and move forward after fighting with vicious enemies and deeply mouring their friends and colleagues.
THIS EPIC MELODY HAVE A VERY GOOD GRASP OF EMOTIONAL TENSION AND A ACCURATE SCENARIO CREATION, AT LAST , TO THE MOST POINT , THIS FITS TO ITS THEME '' Epilogue: Begining ''.

Sometimes I wonder to the never ending sky, vast places I haven't know, a true wonder how this world is created. I walk across the street, cheerfully skipping a bit. The light of day is shining, making the ocean above me blue, what a warm feeling. Time to continue, as I wonder and curious to see what lies ahead.

I like this song and how it builds up but especially the middle from 4:54 to 6:01 although the ending kind of sucks. Whenever you listen to Tales of the Forgotten it's never just music, you always go on an entire adventure especially this because this is the longest song I ever heard.

Has anyone gone and read this? I'm quite interested. Checked out their website and looks like you can read and listen to the chapters online, but then they have them available for purchase. Is there a difference between the online and purchased versions?
There is not, other than the convenience of being able to read them in a formatted PDF (which makes it a little easier) instead of a web page. We wanted to give people the option to support us but didn't want to put our work behind a paywall.
