What do you mean by that? The original Exbein from OGTI was upgraded into the Exbein Ashe, and got futher upgraded into Ex Exbein. I believe the other 2 is made up from spare parts of the old Exbein (correct me if I'm wrong). And unfortunately they can only be deployed as either Gunner or Boxer form in OGMD. No basic vanilla form.
Izumabakumatsu Look at the G-Sword Diver: the normal Exbein can ride the R-Sword easilly, so i think it can go a-ok without the frames. Ps: Obviously, they are always deployed with the frames for the sake of firepower

I believe you can even change boxer and gunner module on the Exbeins if you want. Don't take my word for this and ask someone who has alreayd played it to verify this. I say this 'cause my buddy let's Rio's R unit use the Boxer and Ryoto's the Gunner. Dunno why.
