No lie, back in 2008 I won our school's battle of the bands just mimicking this dude. It's so unreal seeing battlers in today's game taking what he created and evolving it throughout the years.
Grade 9, 2004 in a public school art class, in the back of the class with the Asian kids having battles and trying to mimic his style, this brought me back to a time and a place even a smell, it’s 2023 now, Thankyou kind person 😊
Holy heck man. the start of Beatboxing was golden and he even had Throat bass during that time. Rahzel was far ahead of his time with that! and to see how big and crazy good beatboxing has been growing till now is just unbeliveble. nower days we have such crazy beatbox artists and so many of them and it keeps growing everyday. im just in love with beatboxing and the community big up to everyone who's a part of it love u all❤💚🍀
Throat bass was an absolute basic must have back in the days. We were learning this straight after kick and snare. At least in Poland back in late 90s early 2000s you weren't a beatboxer without a good throat bass
I started beatboxing in 2002 after hearing Rahzel we used to memorize this sequence as best as possible and if you could emulate any aspect of any element you were murdering the competition!!
Apparently 9 yrs ago was before they started making timestamps automatically link & scrub to the time. I'm here to help you out, good human. 1:02 P.S. I have no idea if that time was precisely when you meant it to be, but I do think they started layering effects in at that point in the song.
damn brings back memories of when my bro brought this home on cd. and the first time i downloaded it off bearshare. or napster. forgot which it was lol
AND THIS!! Was tha real beatbox.. Kille Kella, eklipse, beardy man, rhazel, kenny muhammad.. The guys that was doing and creating all the beatbox's base we can see today.
My kid is 13 and likes all the modern stuff told him about this legend that paved the way for all the kids today and this is what led me to wanna beat I was actually good and people enjoyed me doing it. Unfortunately I let the skill go and it’s to bad cuz I loved it and Raheem was a huge reason for me doing it!! His shot is and will always be the baddest and always so nasty suck talent never stop enjoying this shit !!!!!!
I used to think this was dope..now I just think it's really funny sounding. Gives me the same feeling as that old song that goes like "going to the country..water tastes like wine."
fire isnt just with his mouth, the four elements, the elements of beatboxing, earth, he is bass mostly, wind, he is breathing heavily hence wind, fire, yourself with a machine, and water, he has alot of saliva in his mouth to be making those sounds(hence water). they are the elements of beatboxing, the styles he uses in his beats, fire isnt just him, he is beatboxing with a machine, its a style of beatboxing. understand? The four elements(or four styles/types) of beatboxing.
If you’re here in 2021, you immediately on my cool list.
Rightt🔥🔥
@@rosegolddonut8325 lol
I had to look up this guy again because my wife didn't believe anyone was this good at beatboxing, and for once I was right in a argument
Me and my dead homie used to rinse his album back in the day.

I'm not alone!!!

@@neilrichardson2725 lol thats dope bro! I used to try and do it on the bus, but I wasn't very good at it lol.
Same here. I actually covered this many times live and would draw a crowd every time.

20 years down the line and all of a sudden the “air” beat starting playing in my head
Still beatboxing too 🤘 he's one of the dudes that inspired me
Best I've seen and I'm a big Soso/Sarukani fan. Generally keep up with the beat box championships, just glad they're still strong 💪

4 elements are the foundation in learning human beatbox
peace to Rahzel and Kenny
2022 and still clocking in for these tunes

1:02 how the fuck do you make that sound
idk

Pretty sure it's a DJ or sound bite. He's not beat boxing that sound.
@@ViolentGenius I agree. Much as I esteem the man, there do seem to be several non-Rahzel layers around that point.
The original is a battle with Kenny Muhammad, dj scribble, and dj slinky.
Childhood memories!
It’s 2024. I can’t believe I even remembered his name, but this brings back thoughts.
damn brings back memories of when my bro brought this home on cd. and the first time i downloaded it off bearshare. or napster. forgot which it was lol
I remember having this cd 💿. I’m old
So cool how Alem was inspired by Rahzel.
I could see now how Alem came up with West Side and his technique.
1:53 is the tightest little hip hop beat
one and only king god emperor :) of beatboxing ! RahzeL!
I miss my childhood friend, if youre reading this I hope youre doing better.. Take care..
He built up to some good shit> Loved seeing him live
Beatbox is a religion. Doug E Fresh, Biz Markie and th Fat Boy (i can't remember his name, sorry) are the Trinty, and Rahzel is its Prophet.
SiboWoW his name was Buffy (the fat boy)
Thank you :D
Can someone please tell me the name of the noise between 0:57 and 1:00 please.
+Kristian Atkins Vocal scratch
It's Rahzel mimicking a record scratch of LL, no LL sample used.
take some time in the 80s man get a record player
Yeah, that's nothing more than a vocal scratch.
KristianCA its baby scratch
Best beat boxer alive!!!
AND THIS!! Was tha real beatbox.. Kille Kella, eklipse, beardy man, rhazel, kenny muhammad.. The guys that was doing and creating all the beatbox's base we can see today.
I remember listening to this when I was 12, high AF. Shit transported me to another dimension
Who else downloaded this on Napster back in the day?
You bro you probably don’t remember in 1984 Springfield gardens you had my dead radio playing. That was the first time I met you!!
Wish this was on spotify
2020 and still sound good
but wind is from kenny mohammed
me encanta este hombre
y adoro el beat box
Is he doing the scratching on it too? That's dope if it is.
This had everyboy and girl beat boxing this 4elements.
Did Rahzel get the water technique from Michael Jackson?
혁이보고 온사람??
Never gets old
insane in the membrane
wind and fire is the best nice beat man!
2023 and wind still hits hard
0:30 - 0:56 Just selected as ringtone.. FOREVER

2024 STILL GOING HARD!!!
he can also make electronic/mechanic noises ;) there's a reason he's called the godfather of noise ;)
I think those were actual electric noises from a computer for fire
My kid is 13 and likes all the modern stuff told him about this legend that paved the way for all the kids today and this is what led me to wanna beat I was actually good and people enjoyed me doing it. 2023 still the GOAT
The ending (I think it's a part of water technique) is great :D I love him
He was an early 2000s artist
🤯🤯too awsome man love from India❤️❤️
"Now last, but not least, the James Brown technique"
Rahzel was favourite circa 2004

2022 who's in 💙
@Tensileflesh
This is actually a cut from Rahzel vs. DJ Scriblle, so the thing you hear really is not his mouth, but the DJ instead :)
Wait fire definitely has a dj in addition to rahzel right? Theres no way hes doing the horn stabs
