Something that has come to me recently is to meet all conditions with love. By I love I mean the divine love of your being IAM Awareness. Love does not resist. And love is in all conditions because all there is is love. Now that I have adopted this view conditions are safe because I am deeply secure in IAM.

This video randomly came up for me today and I decided to watch it. I just listened to the part about being impatient when watching a movie and wanting to jump to the end. Just this morning I was reflecting on how there have been times where I've looked up endings to series/movies/books because I didn't want to wait and how the ending isn't everything. The journey and connecting the pieces matters too.

It's about observing the version that I'm experiencing and if I don't agree, accessing the version that is already experiencing what I want through the techniques that best identify me without giving meaning to what I'm observing. Wow, incredible breakdown! What I appreciate so much about your channel is how you synthesize all these different teachings with your own insights to create a vibrant, dare I say multi-dimensional experience for us. I think when you just follow one school of thought ("this is what Neville/ACIM/Abraham Hicks/etc. says"), it's easy to follow into rigid, dogmatic thinking and even start questioning our own inner authority when it contradicts what we feel we "should" be doing. I never fully resonated with the surface-level, "do this technique and get a bunch of stuff" teachings but the other end of the extreme, "give up all your desires and earthly pleasures and turn off your conscious mind while you're at it" didn't really appeal to me either. But this video beautifully encapsulates what I've found to be true in my own experience. All unnecessary suffering comes from resisting what is. And also placing my value on the attainment of a certain goal and falling into conditional thinking. Instead, I've come to embrace the full spectrum of emotion and experience in all its richness and the nuances of the unfolding as I work toward a goal, savoring every moment while recognizing that I'm already whole and complete and this is just an opportunity to expand and experience more of myself. As Roberta Flack puts it, "Keep your eye on the prize while seeing every opportunity as a golden opportunity." And the movie analogy is perfect; just think of a romantic comedy. We all know how it's going to end, but it's the individual scenes and those moments of conflict and uncertainty that make it interesting and make the happy ending that much more rewarding.
I am trying to grasp the accepting instead of resisting...what do we when we are experiencing what we don't want? For example disrespect from a family member? We accept it? I have ignored it, I have said it was the old story and affirmed the new, I have even asked her if this is how she is with everyone and she says "yeah they think it's funny". I try to understand and tell myself everything is working out in my favor. But maybe it's because I just keep looking for the change, idk. I live with her so this is why I am testing these teachings on her to figure it out.
I wrote this comment a while ago, but I do have a family member I would sometimes feel triggered by, so I get what you're saying. But when I did feel triggered, I'd ask myself, "Why is this coming up?" And it was always because I was hanging onto an old story. And then I would view this as an opportunity to let this old story go. Also I realized that much of the struggle I experienced with this person was in my head, having inner arguments, feeling hurt and angry by certain comments, etc. And I asked myself, "Who's in charge here?" I can choose to dwell anywhere internally, so why stew in anger and resentment? In short, the more I resisted her and the whole situation, the worse it became. Whereas when I stopped resisting and just accepted that this was just one version of her and I don't have to allow her to control me or ruin my inner sanctuary, the situation got much better and in fact all the "issues" either disappeared or went from feeling heavy and solid to light and humorous.@@lisaannlundun

It makes so much sense, it's like we know what light is but we wouldn't know what it means if there was no darkness. So our soul wants to know what it MEANS to be fullfilled, perfect and whole. So it makes sense that we experience opposition so we can recognise who we are, and our feelings are guiding us
