After extensive research on varying soil textures and climates every 200-300 km, they developed ‘Fasal’, an IoT-led device with remote sensors to monitor crop, soil, and weather conditions. Utilizing AI, IoT, and predictive analytics, Fasal delivers actionable insights, helping reduce crop damage, control diseases, and improve yield and quality. Initially convincing only 50 farmers in 2018, their startup experienced rapid growth, expanding to 500 farms and 5,000 acres in 2019, and targeting 1,000 farms and 20,000 acres by FY21. Not a Good Idea specially for Indian Farmers. Most of our farmers are marginal and this invention requires high capital investment which is not feasible.
Instead of this, you should encourage indigenous low cost techniques in OMG India.
The cost of a fasal device is very affordable to horticulture farmers who have as less as 3 acres of plot. The Return of Investment on the device is typically one crop cycle. There is a reason it is featured here. 😀
