DE pulled everything together and made the game amazing. Truly a fun experience with a much smoother experience. This ending really does have a final feeling. Which no other run of the game has even when you beat the last boss. Sucky for those who want to use the character more, but needed in terms of story I think.
There is an entire DLC after this, plus more post game content, so, not at all. Also as Champion you have a different mission than sacrificing yourself.
I cried watching this. I also have a lot of time playing Outward but have never been Exalted, this conversation with Elatt felt like a true ending to this game I love so much.
Thanks for showing everything. I was very curious about that scene with Elatt in the In Between, I chose to remain as a Champion of Elatt, but thanks to you I could finally quench my curiosity of this outcome.
Some kind of "good" ending for people wantting the "godly hero's path". But still think it could have a little bit more, like special itens to legacy for your other chars (only unlockable on this path), or a unique heirlom if you chose to finally forfeit your char and "ascend", maybe some "small" change in the world after you complete fac mission in new chars, again the possibilities...
Ya I do think it could have had more of a spectacle. That dialogue with Elatt was really interesting though. He should have given you magical sleeves to legacy chest like the ones Oliele has. Those would be a really cool idea to play around with.
Maybe losing the blood price on new characters would be a cool idea (or at least new ones who choose your characters legacy). This would call for a change in a few dialogues (like the enrollment to the sorober academy). Idk having an exalted blood line kinda sounds like a welcome reward after returning to aurai with a new face
If you keep this character in the in-between, they're still available for multiplayer use. Good way to keep your legacy items intact on a hardcore run.

I don't see how you are forgotten and overshadowed, if by that time you are praised as an already "special case" by even becoming a Champion while being just a mere disciple. Everyone even tells that you made the difference. And as a Champion your mission is to be in the frontlines defending the city from the scourge. In the Exalted ending you are just one of many who sacrificed themselves for Calixa's ascension, her ascension is what truly will always overshadow your character sacrifice.
Currently in the process of trying to build new Sirocco while not messing up anything in the game but also completing all missions I can while exalted... it's tough haha
Dang Sheen..you still going strong on those Outward videos..how can you possibly still be getting enjoyment out of this game..you must have beaten it at least 20 or more times..wish I could keep playing any game more than twice after completing..is there any possibility you start making some Elden Ring videos..
I mess around with many different games, but Outward has been my main focus for content purposes. I would like to do some elden ring builds. They are really fun. I am currently looking into it after streaming the game and having blast.

Hmm... Elatt's comment on trying to find a permanent end to the Scourge and different factions having plans to do so almost sounds like a setup for a sequel. Maybe a sequel set in the distant (a century or two) future, with the main story revolving around joining one of the factions (I'm guessing they'll remain roughly as the same) to finally defeat the Scourge once and for all. Ah well, a guy can dream at least haha
A cool idea. I personally feel that the devs never meant for players to use it that much. Its only there for you to get the cool alternate ending and get to into an OP state for a while to enjoy some fun. But managing to keep a character alive through the end of the game would be a true test of skill for sure.
Imagine trying to build new sirocco while only having 30 days of your prime to do so? Trying to kill the Djinn before you get to stage 3, if that's even possible. That sounds like a challenge.
Surprised you didn't mention if it is still possible to get 100% resist and not get the negatives and also about co-op play. Otherwise very cool to see what happens!
I didn't' want to get into it because its kind of a lot to do. Still trying to work out a way to keep up 100% status resistance as easily as possible. But I don't think there are many options other than the one way lol.
It is totally doable . I published a post in Reddit Outward sub some times ago . Search for "Exhalted & 100% Status resistance SOLVED " . In coop, your Exalted character has this passive deactivated (otherwise that would be too easy ...) As well ,if your Exalted character died for some reasons ,being now stuck in the world in between, you can still play with it but in coop only ! . Peace !

considering how many easter eggs they made, i wouldn't be surprised if there was a way to ascend to a Living Thought (or a Lich, if Roland can do it...). Holy Mission questline and Ellat himself drops a the line about the key to divinity. "facing death and incredible source of mana" we need the lore masters to experiment with full mana 50 hp character. that leaves you at 5 hp with stage 3 life drain. it's one mana increase away from killing yourself, but the game doesn't let you gain more mana with hp 50 or less. one other curious thing about this is your hp will read 5.00001, could be a clue. is there anything that does flat 5 damage in the game?
Its a pretty sad story of Cierzo never getting rebuilt. And apparently Rissa went into a depression of sorts. Definitely affects the game a lot more than I thought it did.

Yes you can keep using that character. I heard the exalted buff does not apply in another persons world however. Not sure how that works and have not tested it myself.
Yes. This one ending to the faction quest counts as a story element. Whether you are in Hardcore or not this ending will have you trapped in another dimension upon death.
I was really hoping to find out if it is 100% extra damage to all types (additive to your other damage bonuses), or actually 2x all your dealt damage (multiplicative at the end of damage calculation after adding all damage bonuses)
Ah this is a good question. I don't know for sure but the wiki simply states 2x damage. So I assume it multiples each damage type you have individually by 2. Might need to check this a bit more to know for sure.
Bro do you know where headmaster Raul Salaberry is during the purifier quest so I can get the passive skill that gives better prices? I traveled to Berg and didn’t see him, then went to Hammatan and didn’t see him there and now I’m back in berg. Where is the dude?
Ah he can be a bit tricky to find. Luckily he never moves so once you know where to look you are good forever. Enter the large tower in the back of Harmattan. Enter the library, or room that does not lead to leyline (I think it is to the left). In this room there will be an NPC wearing white armor. Behind him are stairs spiraling up behind the wall. Easy to miss but once up those stairs you can find Raul behind a desk. Hope that helps!
I am not sure tbh. I would imagine you would still be teleported here if you die with the life drain 3. It only works then so makes sense that it would just take you there instead of killing off your character. The life drain is actually permanent. Even if you activate some cheats with Debug mode you can't get rid of it. So seems to me you would not have your character deleted.

it does indeed feel the the one true ended to Outward. You a hero died saving the world and your friends.
Wow. The definitive edition really touched up on that area. Base game it was just a blinding white expanse that you could run around in
I had never been there them, so that's good to know. I thought it looked pretty good now honestly.
I'll only add that you can still use this character in Co-op. And it was pretty popular to use a tank build to avoid your demise.
A divine champion summoned to a different timeline to aid others in times of need.

100% agree. After finally getting this I really do think its a final ending. Nothing to be left unknown for the hero.

It is really easy to get beat up in Outward, but the story and environments are so amazing.

For me this is was always the true ending of outward.
It did feel very final. Which almost none of my Outward playthroughs end up feeling that way. Very cool change to my normal experience.

Having more health, a tank build, and some life steal. As long as you don't die, you'll be a walking avatar of light.
