The more I listen to Robert singing this song the more I get the song, this is it about Zeppelin's tracks, you catch a new nuance each time you hear it, no words to discribe my passion for Led Zeppelin.

John Paul Jones bass is phenomenal as always. Jimmy page must’ve been in heaven with that rhythm section.

Yup!! Why Jimmy carved this up for BBC Sessions CD I have no idea. But , this appears to be the unedited masterpiece that is essential Zep!

He edited it because of having to pay royalties. It is too bad for sure. This is absolutely not the pinnacle of their career live. They had a few different peaks. Robert had a cold before this show, and these performances. He talks about it on the radio broadcast.
They continued to get better, in many people’s opinion Robert having lost some of the high end vocal range made him a better singer. I would agree. From 73-80 he learned to use his voice, their 77 tour he had regained most of the high register and along with Bonham was the standout of that run of shows. He had gained a gritty, plus low range was more dynamic. Page was able to stretch and really changed his tone, style after 75. That was due to breaking the tip of his finger before their American run of concerts. Doing 3 plus hours a night, with complex music where every song and every show was different takes special talent. No one like them ever.
